Morning Gang!

First, just a big thanks for welcoming me back! I feel so happy to be here. My accountability has been a little meh, but I am already more cognizant of what I'm doing (and not doing) and know that being here with you is the right path for me! I am very committed to staying the course and using this year to get healthier than I have been.

In other news, it's my first day of school! My syllabi for my classes dropped and I started reading through them at 3am :) I am all at once excited and overwhelmed. Eeee! But my first paper is due on Tuesday and since I am away on Sat & Sun, I am suddenly feeling kind of silly for assuming I can have a life while I am in school. I also have a ton of cookie orders coming up. I am no longer feeling like I am going to have a "chill" year! I am sure the anxiety will pass, but I hate uncertainty.

For those of you who have been guessing about my meetup this weekend... I will drop a hint via cookies on my business FB page on Saturday!

My pics are all cookies which I can't post on my page yet. I've made so many recently!

Accountability: Too much extra cheese and hard seltzer.

QOTD: When is the last time you were a full time student? I did the math...it's been 29 years for me! I have taken zillions of classes since then, but it's been a MINUTE since school was my full time priority. I've also never taken online classes, so this is all new for me.

B: Fit Frappe Mocha in hot coffee & egg whites with ham and feta

L: Fish Tacos insides

S: Greenridge beef stick

Good mornin everyone. JB you've got this. I just know that you'll rock this so much...you've got a lot of people who believe in you and that are rooting for you!

I'm not feeling great. Woke up in a cold sweat. I'm not sick with a cold or anything. I think the new muscle relaxer is having side effects. I've been having lots of itchiness as well as stomach issues.

It's a busy day here. We're going out to lunch with my aunt. Then we have to pick up the kids from school.

QOTD: 1998

B: JUST egg bowl + half a cup of coffee

L: satay...prob pork for a change

D: salad with chicken breast

I hope the side effects normalize for you soon. Just want to say that your blue eyed kitty looks like a handful! Enjoy your day!

Hi JB and menuers,

Happy Friday! Your cookies are beautiful! I have no coordination so I see the perfect lines on your hearts and am in awe! Good luck with school!

QOTD - full time. Well. Fall of 2018-2020. Postsecondary education has been its own journey for me. School was never on the affordable list and after I had to drop out to pay rent the first time, I threw my energy into the workforce. It wasn't until my boss said he wouldn't support me for a promotion in 2011 that I signed up for the dreaded student loans. Now I have a few degrees and they'll have to be enough. I've always had to juggle full time work and full time school together, and I'm just not that talented or energetic anymore! Kudos to you!

Yesterday was a day of meetings. My version of accountability went off track since there is more pressure in the team settings to conform. Packing your lunch when customers are in town isn't cool, so I ended up with bulgogi, steamed veggies, and spicy green beans. Only ate about two bites of the beef since it was...weird. but I did polish off all the steamed carrots, my first piece of steamed cauliflower, and several green beans. Made up for some protein with a well-chewed epic chicken on the way home. Overall, a very salty and off menu day but not too bad.

I'm debating road trip for after Oktoberfest in a couple of weeks. I love packing up some basic stuff, chucking the dogs in the car and wandering off. I love the northeastin the fall, especially for friends, good seafood, and good colors, though it would be early for the latter. My concern is the cpap. Let me start by saying that yes, I'm crazy. I sleep in my car on these type of trips. The freedom of catching a nap and moving on to wherever I feel like it is valuable to me. To that point, does anyone have suggestions or experience with a cpap device in a car? I drive a hybrid and worry what might happen to its battery.

Only a couple early meetings today, so I'm hoping for a catch up admin day.

Exercise - rest day!

Menu - 4 planted protein shakes with fiber. I'm doing a bit of a reset after the reflux. It didn't hit me last night, even after the weird eating. My stomach is still wonky though, so hoping this will help.

Pictures are of my Oktoberfest hat and a commemorative mug I got some years back.

I was traveling for work and having customer dinners four weeks out, I can tell you that you are far more concerned with what you are eating than anyone else is! Just distract anyone prying with your dazzling conversation. To be fair, so many people have different eating plans these days...keto, began, vegetarian, pescatarian, lactose intolerant, gluten free, weigh****chers, low cal, etc etc etc

Thanks for that feedback- I needed to hear it. My next work travel is 9/29-9/30 and that's going to be a concern as well. My peers are used to my strange eating habits (just ordering veggie sides and skipping entrees, eating seaweed, no bread or buns) since before surgery. And I had packed my food in yesterday. It was my plan right up until the customer asked me to go with her. My fault, but I'm learning!

You should be able to get an external battery, look for one that you can charge with your car lighter, USB or if you have an actual plug. Google cpap-camping and you should get some options

I remember being in San Fransisco and telling my boss that I was thinking of going to Walgreens, getting a boiled egg and eating it in my room.

He was like: "No."
