Good morning, everybody!

I have this pimple on the corner of my nose from the CPAP mask and a non-mask friend to keep it company on my chin. Aren't I turning 57 in April?

I think that today is a very humpy hump day. I have a couple of client calls this afternoon, probably of the "do it before Labor Day variety", some long scheduled internal calls tomorrow and nothing on Friday. Also, lifting, Crossfit and Happy Hour tonight. So, all in, a busy day planned.

Has anybody talked to Chrissy this week? I know that the new computer at work is giving her fits, but she hasn't been around for a few days.

QOTD: We are going to Bermuda with friends to fish for Wahoo later this month. It will be during our 32nd anniversary and Marilyn's Birthday. We went to Bermuda for our Honeymoon originally, so it will be fun to be back.

The hotel that we stayed at during our honeymoon never re-opened after COVID, unfortunately.

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: Leftover pizza

Dinner: Happy Hour

Have a great day, all!

Good morning ~ LOVE Hey girl! Sorry to hear you had such a bad day, but happy about your meet up!! Looking forward to seeing the pics! I had a another great day at work yesterday. I'm cross training with my peer from a similar unit and it's pretty interesting. I like seeing all the pieces come together to make the bigger picture. The more I know, the better for my future. It's nice to be enjoying the process. Today I have a leadership talk but otherwise a light calendar and should be able to get ahead even.

QOTD - I'm looking forward to hiking Saturday morning with my son! It's supposed to be hot-hot, so we are going out EARLY to avoid the high heat. Also - tons of oysters for my birthday dinner coming up!

Accountability - I've added the apple and PB to my daily plan - I'm addicted.

B- coffee, HB eggs

l -chicken, blue cheese, franks wing sauce, celery

d - chicken fajitas in a bowl topped with sour cream, cilantro and chopped tomato

s 1/2 green apple with NSA PB

e - I woke up late today, so If I don't get the last 2 workouts done tonight I won't get my 'trophy' for Aug, boo.

Mornin' All!

well today is my official weigh day, and I'm up 1.5 lbs since last week, which I'm sure is mostly due to water (plus there's no way I've had 4500 extra calories in the last seven days). I've been dealing with a couple of days of major bloat - which is REALLY uncomfortable. Not sure what is going on here, but I'm going to try not to eat much in the way of salty things today. Last night as I was falling asleep I thought I'd do a day of just protein shakes, but I think just trying to avoid certain things - like soup and salad dressing - would be a better approach. Plus exercise - that usually helps, too. And pushing fluids.

I still haven't gotten approval to audit any of the three classes I requested this semester, so last night I applied as a senior auditor at UW-Milwaukee to see if I can get into any there. Wow - they have TONS of online classes!! Which kind of makes sense because they're a large urban campus with lots and lots of nontraditional students. I need to remember this for winter when I'd prefer online so I don't have to go out in crappy weather! Hopefully I'll be admitted in time to take classes this semester, but if not, I'll definitely be looking at them for the winter/spring!

QOTD: the OH conference!

B: plain Greek yogurt with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie (although I need to check the sodium level on that - pudding mixes are loaded with it)

AS: Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries, maybe a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: pulled pork (ugh - more sodium in BBQ sauce - although maybe I can find a low-sodium version at the store...). Plus some kind of vegetable.

have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning JN and Menuers.

Yes I am still alive and well just being swallowed up by work. I wish I could say I was crushing it and closing tons of new accounts but not the case. Just putting out fires created by the new system. Everyone says it will get better so we shall see.

QOTD:I am looking forward to the long weekend. DH and I are going to get out of town this weekend and head to Lake Erie. We're going to Presque Isle to pick drift wood and hang on the beach. It is only a 2 hour ride and we're only spending 1 night but at least it will be a getaway. This month is full of fun stuff I get to squeeze in between work and putting vegies from the garden up for winter. I already have 8 quarts of sauce done and I will be putting up some Jalapeno poppers this evening. Then my God daughters wedding is on the 23 and the next week is OH conference. DH saw his spine doctor and she wants to do surgery on him. She said his Nerves at L4 are pinched so much she can not believe he can walk I am just glad someone wants to try to heal him and not just throw pills at him at this point. I told him he has to wait to October because he is not going to make me cancel my trip.

Accountability: I have met this Mexican couple from the outreach I do and they have decided that they want to cook for us all the time. Not that it is a bad thing but my fridge is full of the best Tamales and enchiladas I ever had. Their English is not that good so I can't explain that I can not eat that much. I may have to have a party just to get rid of it all.

TSS: 4 years 8 months 20 days: 156 LBS, (Lowest 129.4)

B: Coffee with Coffee Mate SF Chocolate Caramel creamer

MS: Light and Fit Tiramisu Greek Yogurt, berries and figs

CB: Coffee with Coffee Mate SF Chocolate Caramel creamer

L: : chicken salad and snack select

D: Tamales and enchiladas chicken thighs

Exercise: Still in a funk.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric Advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and 500mg of Magnesium. sublingual B12 1x a week I also use Miralax and fiber in my first coffee of the day.

Have a great day my friends.

Brightest Blessings.

Chrissy

G'morning all!

QJB, I hope the bad news is not health related. Everything else can be resolved. I'm one of your starbucks posse, but I'll leave all the cheesecake for you, not a big fan.

I always enjoy the seat cooler in the car, especially after my runs when I'm over heated. Wouldn't you know they have something like that for your bed? I always have a fan going on because I sleep hot, so DH got it for our bed. It's like a mattress cover that goes over your mattress and under your sheet. It has a small reservoir next to your bed where it's filled with distilled water, you need to change the water couple of times a month. With everything else nowadays, it has an app where you can control the temp and it has her/his side different temp control. Started the night at 60°, around 2:00 am I was too cold so we increased the temp to 65°, around 4:00 we finally settled on 68°. It's a trial and error with the temp but I can see the potential and foresee a lot of cool nights.

QOTD: I'm actually excited for OH conference because I get to meet a lot of people in person. Last time I went there were a total of 3 of us from this board. After that I look forward to going back home mid Oct and meeting my new niece who should be born on Oct 10.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee
  • TJ chicken fajitas
  • Jello, cold brew w/cashew nut milk, hatch pepper Gouda cheese
  • The rest of chicken fajita
  • E: torturous 4 miles jog

Happy hump day!
