What's on your Monday Menu?

^^This is extremely true for me, seeing that I found myself with someone who can eat ham exclusively for months at a time!
Good morning! I am told it's Monday but we both agree that it feels like the 4th Saturday in a row over here! School starts on Friday so I have a few more days off, yay!! My weekend accountability was okay - nothing off the chain, but we had a few friends over so calories were a little higher from extra cookout food.
QOTD: What is the quirkiest thing about anyone you live(d) with? I am going to name the quirk of my hilarious cat, Fezzik. Fez is the smallest creature living in our house but he is 1000000% in charge of all of us, especially me. The quirkiest thing he does is "put me to bed" every night. As soon as we lay down, he jumps up onto my pillow and if Grim is touching any part of my body, Fez head butts him or even bites him (gently****il he moves his hand. He finally settles on the pillow and sleeps but it's like a 30 minute routine. Cats always win the quirky award!
Today is going to be beautiful weather and I could use a forced day off from cookies and social media management so I am going take myself to the Cape and give myself a beach day :)
B: Fit Frappe Mocha in Hot Coffee & Egg Whites with Ham, Onions & Gruyere
L: ?? I don't have anything I could bring with me to the beach so I will have to grab something on my way.
D: Veggie Burger in low carb tortilla with tzatziki sauce and cucumbers.
Exercise: Long walk on the beach!

Good morning!
Funny meme. Bacon seems to be an addictive food group of its own. Hope you have a wonderful time at the beach today. It sounds like fun!
QOTD - my ex husband used to spend literally all day in the bathtub with a book. He would add ho****er occasionally and just...absorb water? For eight hours at a time.
It was a good weekend. I got some outside stuff done, all the little chores, and played with a couple more new recipes (ricotta pancake/crepe and crock pot cube steaks!). I've also been on track for exercise, so very happy with that. Today's will have to wait until this afternoon since I'm fasting before bloodwork. Would probably be a bad idea to get all sweaty when I can't drink water.
Other than that, the most exciting part of my weekend entailed chasing the cows around. Literally.
Today is my second follow up. It's an hour drive each way, so that's a good chunk of the morning. Not sure who I get to talk to but I'm prepared! Might stop on the way home to clean up the car if there's a good car wash/vacuum around.
Menu
Everything after appointment!
Boiled eggs
Dry cured pepperoni and cheese wraps
Pure protein shake
Nonfat Greek yogurt
Cottage cheese
Have an excellent Monday everyone!

Thanks! They were pleased, and tolerant of all my questions. I got cleared for seaweed, tofu, tempeh, seitan and some Morningstar farms veggie proteins. Will also start taking collagen. Woo! I also asked everyone if I could have water while fasting. The first said no. The second and third said yes...so I ge****er from now on!

That's pretty aggressive before blood tests; I've always been told water or black coffee are ok.

Seriously! I might have had the misinformed nurse. Brought a big bottle of water with me and started asking everyone I talked to about i****er going forward! Woo!

I hope your appointment went well!
The all day baths are definitely quirky! Haha.

Generally fasting is only food and calorie drinks, no****er. Are you sure you understood the instructions for fasting?

The transparent answer is...nope. That's why I brought a bottle of water in with me and asked everyone I came across. I'd googled it the night before and saw the same...water is okay. But no one at the clinic had told me that and the first person I asked said no, to wait until after. Now I know better. I don't have much medical history with doctors after decades of avoiding care due to it being so cost prohibitive. Guess I'm in catch up mode!

QOTD: Quirky belongs to my pets. Every pet has had its ritual that they will not deviate from. Our pup Sadie waits until I lay down and then demands I pick her up and put her in the bed. She will then root and roll around until I rub her tummy. When DH gets in the bed she jumps over him, making him slide to the middle to make room for her to hog the bed. She always faces the bedroom door...to guard us from whatever. She sleeps in the same spot always, she is 17 pounds, but takes the room of a 75 pound golden lab.
Today is my Friday, weekends fall in the middle of the week for me. Nothing much planned other than my routine doctors appointments. Tomorrow is my one year surgery appointment, okay it is more like 14 months. I am still losing a few pounds a month and will just coast along til I stop. I could lose another 10 pounds, but I am good here to. I wear a 6 Or 8. I am wanting to get skin removal surgery. The works. I may have to go to Mexico to do that. I have a substantial amount earmarked but it is so expensive state side. Not so much surgeons fees, it's everything else. Anybody thinking about surgery or have had it? PM if you are more comfortable responding that way
Menu: No clue, really. Standard fare protein shake, fruit. Maybe all veg frozen meal. Dinner ? Plenty of food in the house, but nothing I want to fix.
