QJB, waiting out there not knowing what had happened would have put me in a panic too. So was she right? Was it scheduled for tomorrow or did she make a mistake?
Yesterday's tour in SF went great. My watch says we walked about 8.12 miles but there was a lot of uphills and steps. My NSV yesterday was that not once was I out of breath. I was with a fit couple in their mid 30s and I was leading the pack. I even heard the husband asking his wife "you OK? Can you keep up?" It gave me such a pleasure hearing that. Not that I was trying to torture them but I guess going uphill and up the stairs I was going faster than their normal. At the end of the day they were very happy with what they saw with me. They have 2 more days in SF and I pointed out what else they should see if they have time or desire. I did my sisterly duty and showed a good time to my brother's office manager, that's all I care.
QOTD: I can be very focused, but there is NO WAY I forget about food. I don't even understand people who don't eat when they are depressed/sad or sick.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Famous San Francisco clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl (I ate the inside bread but not all of it although I wanted all the bread)
- Epic chicken
- E: 8 miles walk around the city

I'm with you, it's a rare day in my world where I can't/don't eat - like food poisoning! I never forget and when I'm sick/sad - I want all the food even more.

Congrats on your success with the city hike! Definitely a nice boost to be leading the way. And clam chowder to celebrate! Good on you for resisting all of the bread!

Good morning ~ You make gorgeous cookies - where can I find your business? I want to check it out! WFH today. My sinus thing has moved to my ears. I'm neg for covid - I'm wasn't worried, but needed to check anyway. The mornings are the worst - a hot shower helped. Today is foggy and cool, which is fitting for how I feel.
QOTD - I have excellent focus once I'm in there doing my thing. A freight train could go by and I wouldn't notice. People coming to my office often scare the bejesus out of me - I'm that focused. Getting started is where I have trouble. I need my office cool, dark - task light only and no distractions. Often that means headphones to block everyone and everything out until I'm in my groove. No high traffic area - I want to be in the way, way back dark quite area.

l - egg bites - I'm obsessed
d- baked chicken and salad
e - sinus says no - still plan to finish the Aug challenge - only 4 more workouts to go. I got this

QJB - so glad to hear your mentor is ok. I remember finding my father after a stroke and it was heartbreaking.
QOTD - I usually don't have problems staying focused on tasks. However, if I don't want to do the task, it makes it a lot harder to start focused.
