What's on your Wednesday Menu, Old Friends?
At no point in my life have i ever thought "I'm so skillful at this that I should start adding additional complications."
Also, isn't a mustache mandatory

Mornin' All!
my busy-ish week continues today. I have my documentary film discussion group this morning, then online Mah Jongg, then a massage (the life of a retiree...). I submitted a "permission to register" form this morning for three classes - a gender & women's studies class on women & crime, an entomology class on global health & disease (given the dept, probably insect-related health and disease), and a history course on Islam. The first two are online (slim online pickin's since everyone is back to in person classes - too bad because I LOVE taking courses on my couch - in my PJs...). History course is in person, so I need to decide whether or not to register for it if I get permission. The professor is supposed to be fantastic, and the course is late in the afternoon (4:00-5:15 pm) so it doesn't interfere with anything, and I could ride my bike there and back most days (or at least through the end of October, when it gets too cold), so built-in exercise...so there are some advantages. But in person - hmmm. Inconvenient, plus sitting in a lecture hall with a bunch of college students with the virus still circulating is a little worrisome - but we'll see.
I don't know if I'll have time to exercise today - and I probably won't want to after having a massage, but I biked 28 miles yesterday, so I'm probably good for a couple of days.
QOTD: no big news, really. Same old. But I did go to Italy and Scotland this summer. Loved them both!! Scotland was primarily for a family reunion of people I never knew existed until I started taking DNA tests (and added some of them as Facebook friends after some mutual contact), so it was a hoot!
B: plain skyr with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: the host of the film discussion group will probably have some dangerous treat, so I don't know (and I need to watch it!!)
L: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with fruit
AS: protein shake
D: salad (power greens, chicken breast, diced peach, light dressing)
have a great day, everyone!
Is it woman criminals or women victims?

Much more interesting. woman victims, unfortunately, is the oldest story in the book.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
Congratulation Julia. Hope all your wishes come true.
I requested PTO time for the OH conference today. I really need this break and seeing a bunch of you guys will just be such a great bonus. Were just a month out now. The excitement is really building.
I have a wedding for my cousin who is on his 3rd marriage on Saturday. He is in his 70's and his last wife was a real pill. So this is all good but what do you get as a gift? They work in the restaurant business so gift cards to eat out is a no go. I am scratching my head here .
QOTD: Nothing same job for almost 26 years. I had some health set backs with a skiing accident that required rotator cuff surgery. DH is still on disability and no doctor seems to help. Still doing Mom duty and making sure she does not outlive me(she turned 84 yesterday) A bunch of us are going to OH conference at the end of the Month and hope you and Grim can join us.

Thanks for the invite, I would love to join you guys but a year without a regular paycheck will involve some sacrifices and air travel is at the top of that list, unfortunately. Maybe the OH gods will bring the conference back to the east coast some day! I think they had one in NC when I first had surgery?
