Good morning and hello Monday. Not much on my agenda today. Just a quick trip to Target. But I put on my walking shoes because I think I will outdoor mall walk it. 4 trips around nets me about 2 miles. Also need to make an appt with my chiropractor because I just can't get this kink out of my neck. I haven't been in like 2 years. I love my doc, but he is horrible with keeping up with his schedule and consistently can run an hour or two behind. While I'm waiting in the chairs, I literally think I am losing my mind with frustration. But it may be time. He needs lessons from my GP. That dude is like military precision. In and out within 20-25 minutes and you can be sure to get at least 10-15 full minutes of his full attention during that window. Oh and freshening up the blonde this afternoon.

QoTD: Excellent evening on the deck with the neighbors in gorgeous weather (I got to put on a sweater at one point! My happy place) fun food and too much wine on Saturday and a bbq at an old friend's house with her kids and grands, and my kids and grands and few other long time friends thrown in. This is my friend that was so sick early this year and she's lost way too much weight. That made me sad. This is the kind of weight you know isn't good or about vanity. She knows it too. Poor thing. But being with her and her kids just warmed my heart. They are such an awesome family.

While Saturday I was a train wreck on food and beverage, yesterday I scored myself at 100% success. Aiming for that today as well.

B: 3 TJ's chicken meatballs, some maple bourbon seasoning, 1/3 c cottage cheese

L: emiepie egg salad from one egg and some Pop chips for crunch and scooping

S: hope none. Most days these last couple of weeks I've been able to avoid my afternoon snack. I need it, Triple zero yogurt.

Peace Everybody!

G'morning all!

Great weekend to relax and get all the odds and ends in order. Passport: it arrived on Fri and I mailed it back out on Sat with USPS. Vacation weight: I had not weighed myself after I came back from vacation and kinda gave myself a week to adjust and finally stepped on the scale on Sat. To my surprise I had gained only .6 oz. I left that I was 145.8 and on Sat I weighed 146.4. I'll take that and keep up with what I'm doing, hoping for a lower number by the time I go home in Oct - if the passport gets back to me on time.

QOTD: see above! Oh and an impromptu breakfast with some gfs at their house. I hadn't had a bagel in at least 5 yrs...dear lord it was yum!

I still have tons of pics from Costa Rica that I'd like to share. If you guys are getting tired of them just let me know.

This is an aerial of whale tail so you can see what I mean. When it's low tide the waters on both sides recede and create this path to the tail of the whale.

The beaches in that area are just gorgeous.

My little family under the palms waiting for low tide so we can walk like Moses.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee & barebells bar
  • Thai fried rice and chicken skewers
  • Ube icecream
  • Skipped dinner
  • E: Rest day

Happy start of the week!

Welcome to a new week.

I had my breast biopsy on Friday. Or I should say attempted biopsy. Apparently, the calcifications are so close to the surface of the skin that the suction apparatus could not get correct suction to obtain the tissue. So, the needle goes inot the tissue, then is sucked out using suction. They obtained some tissue but none that contained the calcifications despite different techniques and position changes. Luckily, they numbed me up nice a good, so it was painless. Now it is just mammograms every 6 months to monitor for changes. If there are changes then another attempt at biopsy. The staff who took care of me were wonderful.

This weekend was nice. DH did have to work seeing patients in the hospital. Me and kids went to the movie Nope. Can I recommend it as a must see? Nope, I cant. Me and DD thought it could have been shorter. Definitely was not in the same category as the previous 2 Jordan Peele movies. DS though really liked the movie. I think the audience rating was about a 75% approval. If you like alien type movies perhaps you would also like it.

QOTD: Highlight was meeting a friend for a concert at a local winery. The band was a cover band for rock music ranging from Elvis to current music. They did a nice job. We were far enough from the stage to still have a nice conversation. I am not a wine drinker so I did not partake in that.

B: triple zero greek yogurt, collagen, keto granola, blackberries, cold brew with half n half

L: summer salad with chicken, poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: Lobster tail, roasted veggies

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 60 minutes Inferno Pilates

Have a great Monday!
