Happy photo Friday everyone! What's on your menu?
Happy Friday!
I was not perfect on food yesterday, but not terrible either. I came in 150 cals over my goal. Need to right the ship but I have several things coming up this weekend, so food and wine are going to be a challenge for me to navigate. Rog just left to play an extra day of pickle ball and when he returns and cleans up, I need to pop over to the market for a couple of things to accommodate our updated entertainment calendar. Tonight is dinner with an old friend, and I've got everything I need for that. And it will be on plan as I am cooking it all. Last evening on the front porch over wine with the neighbors we decided on a back deck gathering to discuss a trip to Paso Robles and wine country. So that's for Saturday. I've got enough charcuterie things already to pull off my part of the contributions to the gathering. And then Sunday it's off to a friends for a bbq. With all the local family included. Will be so much fun but I need to come with two sides to take. I'm thinking baked beans for sure and ?. It should be a weekend full of gabbing and laughing for sure!
QoTD: probably still "how's retirement going?"
Menu:
B: leftover coconut rock fish with a bit of cottage cheese
L: leftover chicken
D: Chili Relleno casserole, cilantro chimichurri, refried beans, salad
No pictures of great interest on my phone. Staying home so much with the dog has made for a boring girl.
Peace Everybody!

I lived in Paso in the late 80's and 90's. My mom grew up there. It has grown so much!

Yesterday was moving day for the apartment, I moved all but 1 box of my own stuff. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find things, so it was easier to just do it myself. The movers were terrible, they were almost an hour late and then did not know how to pack a truck, and did not get everything in the truck. What they were paid for was to clear the apartment. What it looks like now is that a tornado hit, it will require more movers and to pack the rest. There were 2 wardrobe boxes that did not make it, and that is most of my roommates clothes. He also had to pay them for more time because they didn't get it done. It was horrible, and I have to go through it again tomorrow with my stuff. But it's coming from storage and is all boxed so should not be an issue. All I can say is I hate moving, and I especially hate incompetent movers.
One of the days my fitbit told me I had climbed 33 flights of stairs. I was exhausted and sore, it sucks getting older. But I'm happy to be here, it is so quiet here. Last night was my first night, I woke early and went to the store at 4AM for yogurt. None of the stuff from the refrigerator has been moved yet. We don't have to be out until the end of the month, but it would have been nice to get it done in one shot. We can't clean or shampoo the carpet until it's cleared.
I had to run back this morning for the Keurig machine, and my planters. I was worried that withou****er they would all die.
Have a great day everyone!

Hope tomorrow goes smoother for you! Sounds like you got the worst case scenario movers. You're aaaaalmost there to being in your own quiet, amazing home.
