Awesome - I must have this!! Yours looks familiar, but please tell me which one you have. I've been stalking them on Amazon for months, but couldn't decide on which one. Having a real review is awesome - thank you!

Specifically this one: Hamilton Beach Teal Egg Bites Maker. Snagged it off Walmart for $21 a couple weeks back.

Only disclaimer I'd give is that it's still newish to me and I haven't tried the fancy recipes yet - just for poaching!

It's really about the poached egg for me! But a single serving egg bites would be nice since I'm the only one who likes them. I ordered it! Looking forward to playing with my new toy.

I had the Starbucks ones for breakfast this week and told myself to make this weekend; I make mine in the instant pot, 8 at a time so it's good breakfast for the week. I might try the microwave ones though like you did, seems easy enough to have fresh vs a microwave re-heat!

Ooh, I keep hearing about instant pots but still don't have one! Trusty old crock pot and other methods, here. I did see egg-cookimg inserts for IP when shopping for this gadget, though. Would you say IP is worth the purchase?

For these, I've never tried the Starbucks ones so just no point of comparison. No microwaving, though. This is a countertop plug in. I do appreciate the fresh since it's so easy for eggs to become rubbery when reheated. Or left in the fridge for second breakfast. Cheers!

I use mine for egg bites, flavored water and yogurt (although I prefer to make yogurt in the Dutch oven, it's great in a pinch), and if I need something that's frozen cooked fast. I only use it as a pressure cooker outside the yogurt and it serves it's purpose. I do know people that have eliminated electric skillet + crockpot+old fashioned pressure cooker by going to the instant pot multi tool.

Mornin' All!

I have a pedicure this morning, then I'm meeting some friends for lunch. I'll probably have to deal with my mother again today, too. She emailed me yesterday to say she wants to make another appt with orthopedics about her shoulder pain. We have had at least six appts I can think of to discuss her shoulder pain. They've told her at this point the only thing that might help it is surgery, which she refuses to consider. She's been through a few rounds of PT, they've told her numerous times what to take for pain, they tried a cortisone shot (she insists it didn't help). I honestly think they're at their wits end with her, because surgery is really the last thing they can do and it'll likely work, but she won't listen - she just keeps going back to have the same conversation with them that she's had for months. I emailed her back and said I'd come over and show her how to send them a message via MyChart to let them know she's still having pain, and to ask if she should come in to be seen in person (my guess is ....no). I don't think she needs to waste her time, my time, and their time to have the exact same conversation she's had with them for months. I'm surprised insurance is still covering these appts. Anyway, I'm sure I'll hear from her today, and it won't be pleasant. I feel bad for her that she's dealing with this pain, but honestly, they've tried everything, and she refuses to consider surgery. So I don't know what more they can do.

QOTD: I can't really think of anything - there's really nothing about me that would stand out to people upon first meeting me.

B: probably just a protein shake. I'll have a later breakfast so I won't overeat at lunch

MS: plain skyr with strawberry compote

L: ?? I'll probably order a sandwich of some kind and eat half of it

AS: protein muffin

D: salad (power greens, diced 1/2 peach, shredded chicken breast, light dressing)

have a great day, everyone!

My husband went through years of PT for shoulder pain. He finally had surgery and it was about six months until completely healed, but after that there was no more pain. Check your mother's insurance. Mine pays for rides to the doctor and I take advantage of that rather than asking family. I usually drive myself, but in bad weather or when it involves my eyes, I use the service. They pick me up at the door and bring me home again. My mother did not like the service because she had to wait for them to pick her up and wanted someone to drive her and stay there so she could come home faster after the appointment.
