Right! If I have a need to actually hear my oldest kid's voice, I generally have to send a text that says "please answer the phone, I need to actually talk to you!"

Good morning all and a Happy Tuesday,

Melody - Congrats on the recent weight loss!

Had another picnic committee meeting last night and everything seems like it's coming together for Sunday's picnic. We're planning for 60 people so we'll see how that turns out.

QOTD - Favorite Mexican dish is difficult since I'm such a big fan. In my city, I would say my favorites in the city are as follows...Tacos Al Pastor straight off the trompo, griddled, and overfilling a warm, freshly made corn tortilla with cilantro, onion, lime, pineapple slivers, avocado salsa and side of grilled knob onions & whole blistered jalapeños. Pambazo. Cochinita Pibil. Mole. Birria. Off the path Mexican I've tried in Chicago: tongue, head, intestine, eyeball, grasshopper, goat.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.

L: Ham and cheese roll up.

D: 4 garlic Buffalo wings and carrots.

S: keto mint ice cream bar.

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

Big fan here as well! Though I have to be careful with the spicy stuff. I think I am allergic or darn near it to capsaicin. To much of it and I get a chemical burn...I love pepper though!

lucky to be in Texas as we have great Mexican cuisine choices. The best is the mom and pop stuff. Soooooo good. We also have Tex-Mex which is pretty tasty too,

Good morning ~ Thursday would be great! Congrats on the weight loss, Mel - way to go! Those stuffed poblano peppers sound good. Today I have two 1:1 meetings but otherwise I'm just plugging away on all the things. I have to drop my class, which to be honest I'm thrilled about. I will miss too many classes to pass due to work and other travel. Also - I'm only 53, but being out until 10 pm on a work night sucked. I'm usually in bed at 8 and clearly set in my ways, lol. I will make sure to get the online class next semester that I can do where ever I am and in my PJ's. Things sure have changed.

QOTD - Tacos - any and all. All reg type meat (no organs), veggie, fish/seafood, fried, soft, street, jack in the box tacos, Old el Paso taco kit style that I grew up eating - all perfect in their own way to me.

Accountability - wine

b- HB eggs, coffee

l - chicken, parm, sunflower seeds, tomato, lettuce, garlic evoo/red wine vinegar

d- hot pastrami/provolone, pickles, pepperocini W/mustard in a bowl

e-slept in, I will be back at it tomorrow - no excuses.

Have a wonderful day!!

Sorry/not sorry about your class. It's weird when things work out the way they need to instead of how you envisioned! I am glad you realized it sooner than later!

I love online classes. It was like Christmas during the first two years of the pandemic, when almost all the classes at our local university were online. Now, it's kind of slim pickin's when it comes to online. Most of the online choices for the fall I either have no interest in, or I've already taken. I'm a little leery about going to an in-person class because sitting in a lecture hall with 300 college students for an hour or two at a pop seems a bit risky to me since the virus isn't gone yet - but also, I got very used to taking classes while on my couch or propped up on my bed, in my PJ's, with a mug of coffee beside me...

I'm looking at it like work meetings - zoom is just easier, but less personal.

Yes a class that goes until 10pm is awful late. I usually dont go to bed until about 10:30 but want to be home for some downtime before bed.
