What's on your Tuesday menu?

Good mornin , hope his Tuesday finds you doing well.
I've had a busy past few days. My eye developed some issues last week that kind of sent me in a somewhat downward spiral emotionally. I saw my eye specialist yesterday and it was pretty good news. No issues with my retina but my lens from my cataract surgery is "fogged over". I am getting it fixed on the 31st. Just a laser treatment to fix it. This was a huge relief. The new pain med I was trying did not work out and made it a lot worse actually. So I'm in a lot of pain but trying to plug along.
Good news in the weight department. I've lost about 15 pounds in a little less than three weeks. Not to toot my own horn but I'm pretty proud of myself. My blood sugars are still not great. They could be way way worse though. I still have a lot of stuff to work through but it's at least headed in the right direction.
QOTD: since it's taco Tuesday what's your favorite Mexican dish?
Mines gotta be enchiladas or taco salad. The salad is much better for me than enchiladas. I do adore chilie relleno but I have to make them myself as they are not always cleaned that well and my pansy behind can't handle heat.
B: JUST egg cup and coffee of course
L: Salad with maybe some chicken cut up on it
D: stuffed poblano peppers. Ground beef, onion, cream cheese, maybe a bit of riced cauliflower if it's alright with my mom...cheese too. We may get some bacon to wrap on of them but I'm not sure.
S: lays chips(mini bag), raspberries and maybe yogurt or a mini fruit bar
have a great day y'all!

Mainly cut back on grazing/snacking and kept to a solid three meal day. Sometimes I'd just eat little things throughout the day instead of a meal.
thanks!

It is! I'm usually that all or nothing person. I've been working with my psychologist on that a lot.

Mornin' All!
congrats on the weight loss, Melody! I've been working on that as well. The late afternoon (unplanned) snacking is a killer for me!
I have to take my mother to the grocery store sometime this morning, and I want to get out on my bike. Mah Jongg this afternoon - plus I have a lot of stuff I need to do for two of my civic organizations. Plus watch a film for one of my film groups and read a book for my book group. The rest of this week will be pretty busy...as will next week. The end of the summer always seems to go like this :-( At least I no longer have to think about going back to school...or work!
QOTD: I love street tacos and have always gotten them at Mexican restaurants post-surgery. Calories in one of those isn't bad - and...protein. Prior to surgery, I used to get vegetarian platters (at least at places that had them). They usually consisted of things like a bean burrito, a cheese enchilada, and a cheese quesadilla. I'd still love that, but way too high in calories (unless I bring a lot of it home, that is...)
B: plain skyr with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: protein oatmeal topped with a dollop of plain skyr and diced apple
AS: protein muffin or cottage cheese
D: the salad I've been eating for the last few days - with power greens, chicken breast, diced peach, and light dressing. Love this!
have a great day, everyone!

Evening time is just so hard. If I falter it's usually within that time period!

I have also been on a salad bender. My current favorite is spinach, spring lettuce mix, 1/4 red, orange or yellow bell pepper, cherry tomatoes strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, chicken and panera poppy seed dressing (25 cal/serv). It is so refreshing and light. I can eat a huge bowl of lettuce without issues...

Melody, 15 pounds, wow. I know you earned each one! I had the film lazered over my eye last week, we must be twins. Although my pain meds work, I hope the figure out something for you. The meme this morning is so me.
QoTD Taco salad. Mexican food wasn't a big thing here until 15 years ago, it was more a Cuban influence for south Florida, and they really don't do hot peppers. That did not stop me from putting jalapeños with the dill pickles on my Cuban sandwich.
Today is physical therapy and an MRI. Then to the pharmacy and grocery. If there are no thunderstorms this afternoon, we will go the beach. If there are, then to motor vehicles to get my handicap parking permit instead. I am still falling over my feet when I walk even with the cane.
