What's on your Monday menu????

Thanks! I would have if there were time between meetings. Sometimes it feels like we have meetings about meeting.
Fortunately, the online cafe ordering through work turned up grilled chicken with cooked onions and mushrooms. I worried about what it was cooked with, ate less than half and now have dinner tomorrow! Nothing catastrophic has happened so far. Will be bringing in some shelf stable emergency backup food! Shockingly, I can manage everything I've tried so far but hb eggs are the smallest quantity. It has been a learning experience!

Congrats on the loss! That's great for a week. Also, modified egg roll in a bowl is on my list to make later this week. It seems popular!

I actually drank a 2 carb per can seltzer at the country fest! So not a terrible choice

Good morning! I think I will get a massage today. My hips and shoulders are killing me. I could have stayed asleep for another two hours today I think, I had the time and my eyes were so tired, but my back said "get your ass out of bed". So I did. I also plan on finally walking into our library and checking it out, finding out how to get my library card (I applied during Covid and they were all screwed up) and maybe checking out their cook book section to start. I need to pop into the grocery store for some fresh veggies as well.
My gastritis has reared it's ugly head, so my food was on point Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Nothing to drink bu****er and even that I have a hard time getting in right now. I can manage chicken and cottage cheese and eggs, nothing spicy, nothing dry. It's a painful but effective way to remind me to behave. Pain is a great educator sometimes.
QoTD: We probably average about $250 every 7-10 days. I don't go every week and make myself use things up in order of expiration dates. And Costco maybe once a month for things I really don't need. It's my gourmet butcher shop that gets me in trouble.
menu:
B: cottage cheese and TJ's fresh chicken meatballs.
L: leftover pork chop and mashed cauliflower
D: TJ's Argentinian red shrimp, grilled corn cut off the cob, fresh tomatoes, red onion, lime juice on a bit of crispy rice (I might have to skip the rice)

Having a Sucralfate (Rx) when my gastritis flare is a must for me. I had a few big containers of that. qty 120 pcs.
When my gastritis flares - I take that for 3-5 days (at least 5 days) and it really helps. Plus a proper diet.

I really don't keep track but it is about $100 a week for me and the cat. Fancy feast is about 85 cents a can now and she eats two or three cans everyday. In the summer I often have salads for lunch and dinner and buy fresh veggies at a local farm market. Sometimes I order HelloFresh but it is a lot of food and I don't always feel like cooking it. I think $100 per person would be a good weekly average for dining in and out. When I got married (in 1969) $30 a week was plenty for two people and I added $10 a week when I had a baby.
