Happy Thursday - what's happening?
Good morning! Happy to say that yesterday I was able to string my 5th or 6th perfect food day together. Came in 36 cals under my daily goal and seeing some progress towards my personal goal. Today is supposed to be the last of the high heat and then start heading downwards. Yay. I'm sick of being in this house. Hopefully the dog's stitches come out tomorrow and he can escape the cone of shame, then we will have a bit (not much) more freedom.
I do have fun plans today. For the first time since retirement, I am actually doing a "ladies who lunch" thing. Going over to Coronado to have lunch at a French Bistro and then go to the small theater there to see Mrs. Harris goes to Paris. It's a period piece movie and I always love the costuming and sets so I am looking forward to it. And escaping the house for a few hours with girlfriends. Need to look up the Bistro and do a bit of preplanning to work it in my day.
QoTD: I am blowing through books right now. Last night I finished Kitchens of the Great Midwest. I absolutely loved this book. It weaves families and friends through generations using cooking as the bind that ties. I also binge watched Under the Banner of Heaven and Uncoupled in the last week. I enjoyed both very much, Heaven is a murder mystery that also examines extremist religion and Uncoupled was risqué sometimes shocking, voyeuristic, getting an inside glimpse, sad and touching and lovely at moments. Not for the faint of heart.
Menu:
B: left over stuffed bell pepper
L: tbd
D: TJ's shaved beef, done up philly cheesesteak style. Bowl for me, Sandwich for Rog. Some pop chips for crunch
Peace Everybody!

Happy Early-Friday
I finally got the PCP to order the breast ultrasound and am scheduled for next Tuesday. I guess the radiologist wanted another mammogram on the right breast also. Will have that done at the same time. Yesterday, the hot yoga was sooo HOT, everyone in the class agreed. I think there was some humidity that increased that sensation. I was dripping sweat with just the warmup, which is unusual for me.
QOTD: I am reading Where the Crawdads Sing. Just finished Nine Perfect Strangers by Lianne Moriarity-it was good but not one of her bes****ching Barry Season 2, Uncoupled, The Wilds. I have a bunch of shows on my list to watch that I haven't started.

S: protein frosty
D: Asian chicken salad with sesame ginger dressing

Fingers crossed for you on the medical pieces. I know a couple of others mentioned it but I also had the same thing happen after my last massive weight loss. Got sent for extra testing. Fortunately, it was nothing. Best wishes.

Lana, did you watch Terminal List? I didn't think it was as good as Jack Reacher, but you would like it.
