Monday, we meet again! What's your plan for the day?

Heading into Monday with this kind of optimism!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I got some chores done, lots of sleep, and binge watched way too much TV but I finished The Oriviille (excellent); the entire season of The Sandman (excellent, although when I rewatch it, I will skip one episode that was too horror-is for me); and half of a show called Pickett based on the many many books by CJ Box.

Today I have a few outstanding chores around the house, an elliptical session and I need to make a shopping list; I have friends coming to stay Thursday to Monday and am pretty ready for that except for the shopping and I need to clean out the fridge too.

QOTD - If you woke up tomorrow in the Middle Ages, do you have a skill you can make a living with? I do not. I know several people that have skills that could be useful then but I am not one of them. Also why I will not survive the zombie apocalypse.

menu today

Have a great monday everyone!

Good morning!

Glad you had a good weekend.

Several meetings today and still playing catch-up. I'm trying to decide which days I need to commute into the office this week besides Thursday. Today is not one of them.

QOTD - Nope, no practical skills besides the ability to cook over an open fire and identify a few edible plants. Definitely not enough to stay alive. I also have a huge aversion to touching raw meat. So whenever I think of how much I'd like to live in a different time to escape the onslaught of technology, these are a few of the things I'm reminded of!

Menu

Supplements

Nonfat Greek yogurt

Rolled turkey and provolone with mustard

Crock pot chicken

Ricotta bake

A protein shake or two

Hope you all have a great day!

Yes! I'll admit it's been interesting learning that I can't finish a full boiled egg but can eat two ounces of cooked chicken. I've taken a bit of a step back and realized I need to just embrace needing protein shakes for a while. All of my meals are more...snack sized. Just don't enjoy feeling like I'm full to bursting all day.

Very much appreciating the variety, though!

Oh, interesting! Thanks for sharing. With eggs, I've tried poached and boiled. Poached was easier.

Did you have varying tolerances for the preparation of other foods, or just eggs?

Good mornin everyone.

Yesterday around noon my feet started to swell. Even the lower parts of my legs swelled up some. My left foot is still swollen some but my right foot is really swollen, sore and painful . I'm pretty worried about it as I've never had this happen. I can't wear most of my shoes. I think it's one of two things. Either the pain med or my back. I'm leaning toward my back. It's been really sore this past week & weekend. I've tried my feet up about a million times to no avail. Either way I'm stopping the pain med dues to other side effects.

Hoping today will hold Al ot of nothing. I see the pain clinics NP and doctor tomorrow.
