Between what I learned about my pineapple mojito glasses and this travesty, I think the universe is trying to tell me to stick to scotch.

Good morning, everybody!

I have to get bloodwork for my 4 year surgiversary today, plus one other doctor. It's so much blood that I am going to have Marilyn drive me just in case. Assuming that all goes well, we will likely go out to breakfast afterwards. It's a 12 hour fasting test.

I came home last night and fell asleep at about 8:05. Slept on the couch for two hours and then went to bed. I do feel refreshed this morning. This morning is pretty low key, just a few things to do around the house. I will go fishing with my son if he is feeling up to it, but we will see. His cough still sounds bad.

My youngest wants to go to Twitchcon in San Diego this fall (which I think is a video gaming thing). We are trying to decide, but I am not thrilled about him missing any classwork. He didn't have a great attendance record in High School.

QOTD: I went to a celebratory ball at Prague Castle when I got promoted at work. Although nobody in the real world cared, it was pretty amazing.

Dinner: TBD. Maybe I will take my son out if he is feeling up to it.

Some sort of flies. They weren't biting, but would fly into any wet parts of your face (despite their being an actual river there) without the netting.

He could stay with me for Twitcon (whatever the hell that is!) We have a dual master (primary?) set up and he'd have the upstairs to himself. And the trolley is three blocks away, $2.50, and a forty minute ride to downtown, counting all the stops. Or a $20-40 Uber ride. And we are mostly responsible adults. There is a queen bed and a set of bunkbeds available, but the bunks have princess sheets on them.

If Matt or Christina can't explain to us what Twitchcon is, you and I will never understand it.
