Mornin'!

it looks like a nice day, so I'll get out on DH's bike sometime this morning. Mine is going in this afternoon for a new inner tube on the front wheel, and to see if it needs some adjustment after my accident last week. Hopefully we'll be back to normal then. Tomorrow I'm heading down to the Chicago area for an overnight. My two cousins (the family history buffs) want to meet up again. A distant cousin we discovered last time we were together may join us. Not sure I'm 100% up for it - these two cousins are obsessive about genealogy, whereas it's more a casual hobby for me - but I do like these two, and it'll be fun meeting this newly discovered relative.

QOTD: funny you should mention this, as about two days ago DH told me that he discovered our VCR no longer worked. It's been hooked up to our basement TV for years, and we rarely ever use it. I do have tapes - most of them ancient fitness tapes (Richard Simmons, Jane Fonda, Gilead Janklowicz). I'm not sure whether to just toss them since I don't use them anymore, or try to find an old VCR on Craigslist or a thrift shop. Although would I star****ching the tapes again if I had a working VCR? Maybe not..

B: plain skyr with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: vanilla protein shake blended with ice and cantaloupe, since my last remaining cantaloupe appears to be dying...(plus I love cantaloupe protein shakes in the summer!!)

L: bagged salad (sweet kale) with 2 oz rotisserie chicken

AS: ?? probably a protein muffin or a L&F yogurt with a skinny bagel

D: maybe the chickpeas topped with marinara sauce (that I threw some kale and carrots in) that I ended up not having yesterday

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ~ Happy to hear you are feeling much better! Topkapi Palace - Are you doing the August challenge? I'm starting that Monday. BTW - on the FB IFIT page, there are complaints with a million comments about missing the actual trophy's and begging them to bring them back.

I have been so overtired and I felt as close to falling asleep on the way home from work yesterday as I ever have - It was a bit scary. I went to bed early, slept SOLID until 5:30 this morning. I still feel tired and have a headache. I'm going to stay home, but I think I'll test also. I've been around a a lot of people lately. I have a few projects I need to work on, but thankfully I can work on them at home. And a nap, and to bed early again and hopefully I'm feeling back to normal.

QOTD - I think I have some tapes from when my son was little somewhere.

Accountability - 3 squares of 85% chocolate - yum

b- coffee, cottage cheese

l- leftover ricotta bake

d -breakfast for dinner

e - not happening - maybe walk the dogs

Have a great day!

I am, I figured it would help me get back into the swing of things and since it's just an 8 workout series, I signed up for both the rower and the walking one. I think I'm on #3 (I started out of order looking for the shortest ones first). I am glad to hear I am not the only one wanting the magnets back! Topkapi was nice, good history whole strolling through the grounds which are as beautiful as I remember!

I hope you are just tired and not dealing with covid! Smart to check before you go back out though, either way!

Thank you for the link. I have a friend bringing me a dress this evening. It is a large so it may not work out. I am definitely interested if this falls through. I'll keep you updated.

Good Morning Jen and Menuers,

What a fun bit of info about you on Jeopardy. I can see you doing that for sure. Tomorrow we should ask what everyone's 15 min of fame was. I'd love to hear what people have to say.

My favorite way to have figs is to slice them in half, top with goat cheese and prosciutto and then warm them in oven. I used top them with a drizzle of honey too but haven't done that in years.

I've had some meals/snacks where I didn't have restriction and never got full. I realized it was carb meals/snacks - I can eat a ton of popcorn, crackers or chips and not get full, but give me any protein and I'm done.
