Throughout that was Em's issue, so tired. Keep resting as much as possible.

Good morning!

Happy birthday to the family. Hope you have a wonderful time together and enjoy dinner.

QOTD - I really want to see the lantern festival in Thailand someday. It's been on the bucket list for 15+ years and I've never been able to make it happen.

Think I made a misstep this morning with the supplements. I took my vitamin, probiotic, omeprazole, and calcium with enough water to swallow and then gave it some time. Now I'm really nauseous and wondering if I should eat, wait 30 minutes, and then take them. Good times. Oops.

Well, I boiled three eggs last night instead of making baked ricotta. Current logic is to go a few days trying things that are as close to single ingredient as possible so I can track what might cause a reaction.

If the nausea passes, going to try a few minutes on the elliptical and see how my incisions feel.

Today's experimental menu

Cottage cheese

Hard boiled egg

Light tuna in water

Cheese stick

All deconstructed into small portions across the day and supplemented with at least one protein shake. Hope everyone has a great day. Cheers.

Eggs aren't easy for everyone at first, but if you can digest them don't worry.

Thanks! Feeling lucky right now since everything I've eaten today hasn't caused problems. The tuna was a bit of a challenge and I had some grumbles. Fingers crossed!

I had the hardest time swallowing pills that early. It was trial and error for sure. You got this!

Warm drinks work much better for me even now when taking pills/meds.

For a long time I tolerated chewable or capsules much better than pills. Even now - I sometimes break the larger pills in half. Sometimes the larger pills dissolve slowly and they may get "stuck" inside the pouch/sleeve lining. That's when I get nausea.
Drinking warm tea, or even warm water helps dissolving the pills/meds faster.

For a long time i could drink jus****er. I had to have something added to it, even a little: lemon juice, tea, simple flavoring, etc. Plain water would often give me nausea. I used to make "infused water"- fruits or veggies. That was just enough to brek down the water ph and made it easier for me to drink.

I know many people had problem drinking plain water in the first few weeks- even few months after WLS.

Thanks for the reminder and for sharing your experience! They gave us the go ahead to have warmer drinks yesterday. Tea continues to sound wonderful.

I'm lucky to be on the list tha****er is fine by me. Before surgery, 99% of what I drank was plain water and unsweetened tea. Living the high life, I know. The biggest change there had been giving up caffeine! Cheers.

Yum lobster and crab. I haven't had that in years. Sounds so good though.

I am working remotely for the rest of the week. So my agenda for the day is work, Pilates, work, nail appointment, visit MIL. Should be another nice day here in Montana.

QOTD: I want to travel to some destinations like see more of Europe (been to England, Italy, France, Belgium), more tropical locations such as Thailand. Retirement sounds wonderful also but still have 2 kids who need to finish high school then college.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, strawberries, keto granola, cold brew with half n half

L: summer salad with chicken, poppy seed dressing

S: protein frosty

D: maybe another salad

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 45 min Pilates, 30 min walking

Have a terrific Tuesday.
