What's on your photo Friday menu everyone?

Good mornin everyone, hoping this Friday is a great one for us all. We're getting rain that's been sorely needed so it's off to a great start!

The new pain med, buprenorphine sublingual, is doing wonders for me. Even with the severe itchiness it's worth it! I haven't felt this little pain in a long long time. It's got my spirits up...way up. I have to get some Claritin today to see if it helps more than the Zyrtec my mom had. I'm able to take Benadryl with it and it helps immensely together. The main itchy place is my arm pits. I have some cream that helps for eczema, rashes and allergic reactions and it's doing a fine job too. I knew the pain was burdensome but not to the real extent it really was/is.

Not a whole lot planned today. We're going to work on the kids room and get rid of a bunch of stuff. I've got two items up on eBay that are higher priced things. One is a wicker art pig sculpture by a famous Mexican artist, Mario Lopez Torres. . I would love to keep it but our cats would destroy it. The others are just a certain kind of teddy bears called Teddy Scares that a friend bought me years ago. I wish I could just give them back to her but she passed away last year.

QOTD: who is the most interesting person you've ever met?

I can never ever put into word how important my grandpa was to me. He had such an interesting life and experienced so much diversity. After the way he grew up and had to help support his siblings...well he managed to stay a kid at heart. My mom calls him her own Peter Pan! He is the one most influential person on my life and being.

Food was mostly ok yesterday.

B: JUST egg cup, raspberries and coffee

L: roast with carrots and an undetermined item

D: might make stew. We're only supposed to get to 86 today so I must stay warm...LOL

S: ???

my pics are ones of mine run through an AI image filter. I adore the bee one!

I'm so happy for you that the new pain med seems effective. You have struggled so long. I love your pictures, especially the bee one. Nice work on the photo. You should post the unaltered one as well.

Thank you so much! It is a huge relief...that's for sure. I was beginning to think I'd never have any relief.

Here is the original bee photo! Thank you! :)

Good morning,

So glad the pain meds are helping as much as they are! Always good to hear. Your photos are beautiful.

Two weeks out from surgery today and think I'm hitting a stall. Makes sense from a combination of healing and immune response. I figure when the itchy palms get better, the rest will, too. My first follow up with the surgical clinic is Monday, so looking forward to the possibility of being advanced to soft foods since today makes 15 days on liquids. Whew! I have to say, there was more of a reaction than expected when I stopped by Walmart yesterday to pick up Benadryl and walked close enough to smell fried chicken through my mask. Bit surprising, really. I bet that first bit of yogurt or cottage cheese will taste amazing.

QOTD - Can't think of any one person who stands out so will pass on this one.

Anyway. Today I'm going to try mixing my chocolate protein with fat free, lactose free Fairlife milk to boost the protein a bit and try something with a different consistency. I also got some unsweetened soymilk and more bone broth for the same purposes. Happy Friday, everyone!

Just do yourself a favor and before you panic, Google 3 week stall. We've all been there at one point or another!

Hi Jen,

Thanks! I've read about it! Just got to wait it out. Given that I'm at about 400 calories a day these last couple of weeks, it's just a matter of time! Appreciate you sharing.

There is a Lotion you can get in most grocery and everywhere called Saran that helps me with itching. There is a coupon on there site.
