Thanks! The nurse today was a bit dismissive but says it's a H2 systemic allergic reaction. Since I've been at home up until yesterday, he does think it's my body's heightened stress reaction to surgery. Yay!
That means I got to have my first bariatric conflict between doctors. I'm on omeprazole for the next year and told him but he still prescribed both a H1 and H2 for the next couple of weeks to try and knock it back. Me being me, I called the surgery clinic line since it looked to me like H2 stuff conflicts with my prescription. I was right. The clinic doesn't want me to take it. Will be an interesting next couple of weeks, I guess. Cheers!

G'morning all!
Melody, sorry about the fall. Hope you heal fast.
I never thought I'd be one of "those" people who'd get excited about a pair of new running shoes. Don't know if you remember last time I got a pair of new Hokas I wasn't very excited about them. The toe box felt huge and my toes were swimming in them. But I stuck with them with the idea that my next shoe won't be Hoka. Last weekend I was looking to replace my shoes and stumbled upon Hoka speedgoat that is perfect for trail running. Yesterday was my first jog with them. Holy moly, I love them. And I chose a "in your face" color: bright fiery orange and blue. I'm almost bummed today is not a run day.
QOTD: variety of dolls with the house and cooking appliances, etch a sketch, and books. Books have always been my go to "toy" since I could read.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Mex cauli rice with shrimps
- Protein slushy, Fage & blueberries, jello
- E: 4 miles jog
Happy almost Fri-yay!

Oh I totally get excited and I love your new shoes! I ended up sizing down in HOKA for a better fit and it worked.

Good morning! I had a successful food day yesterday, even with the dinner out...but there was wine. Today we have to take brown dog to the vet for an ear infection. The wait time for an appt anywhere was 8 days, so we have been treating it at home with left over antibiotics (I know, not supposed to, but ewwwwww, stinky) and ear washes. It seems gone, but we are going just to be sure he doesn't need more antibiotics. This guy is going to have to go through surgery soon, so I want him in tip top shape everywhere else. Our other big plans for today are to power wash the deck for our Friday night gathering. My life is so exciting these days!!
Jim -- I haven't bought an I-bond in 2022? Should I? The current rate seems very favorable, but the long term is what I am not clear on!
QoTD: Baby go bye bye. Lived in Lemoore, CA at my Dad's current duty station and I can still see her be-bopping across that living room floor in her pink car
Menu
B: left over bell pepper stuffing and a bit of cottage cheese
L: left over chicken saltimbocca
D: roasted boneless/skinless chicken leg quarter and feeling a need for mashed potatoes and some gravy. Maybe I'll drink gravy instead of wine tonight?
Peace Everybody!

We will buy again in 2023. The rates will come down, but even if you only get one good year, the 9.62 percent is so much higher than you will get in the bank it seems worthwhile.
