what's on your Wednesday menu RNY'ers?
Good morning! Busy day already. Two grand kids wrestled into clothes, hair brushed, teeth done, breakfast made (one egg had to be redone because I broke the yolk. Tragedy. Dog appreciated the situation. Girls dropped of at camp, back home, yard cleaned and now having some coffee and catching up. The rest of the day rounds out with a drop off for the dogs to get cleaned and trimmed. Brown dog will be having surgery soon we hope, so he's going to get a hell of a hair cut. He's got long thick hair for a coat and I want as much gone as possible so we can keep him as clean as possible post surgery. Also a quick trip to the meat market and Home Depot.
Yesterday I was fairly successful on food. We did do dinner out, girls chose Panda Express. I splurged on Orange Chicken, but ordered a kids meal and did not eat most of the side dish of chow mein. Thor. Entertaining. Lots of tongue in cheek comments, innuendo, and ridiculousness. Everybody enjoyed it even though Rog and I are not franchise devotees. And the music rocked. I was dancing my grand girls out of there to Sweet Child o'mine. Right up my alley.
QoTD: I'm retired now, but was considered essential during the height of the pandemic. Also had two letters in my bag in case some cop went Gestapo on me. Never even came close to happening. I never got so much as a day off. Oh how I loved that traffic period.
Menu: the whole thing is meh to me so far today. We are meeting a friend for dinner at a restaurant that is closing. It's Roger's favorite place so we are going back one last time.
B: Triple zero yogurt and 1/4 c cinnamon cheerios
L: deli turkey meat and cheese
D: Italian. No idea what I will eat. Maybe just order the caprese salad and nibble off of Roger and the friend's plates.
Peace Everybody!

G'morning all!
Getting excited for my kidlets coming home. DS arriving tomorrow night and DD Sat night. We leave for vacation on Sun. 2 glorious weeks with my kids, I am giddy with excitement.
QOTD: I've been working from home for the last 20 years. I was the first in the company (about 24 years ago) to ask for two days from home when DD was born. It was unheard of and I had to show them during the last month of maternity leave that it could be done. When DS was born I asked for 4 days from home and it worked. After that I became an independent consultant and never went back. DH always worked 2 days from home and 3 days at the office. During pandemic when everything was from home he actually got bored. He likes the variety of every other day going to the office.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Bacon wrapped and cheese stuffed jalapeños
- Protein slushy, Fage & blueberries,
- Hb eggs, pecorino Romano, cheddar cheese caramelized onions
- E: cardio + weight
Happy hump day!

OMG, the bingo saga!! Rob still has his grandma's dobbers/dabbers. He's so sentimental and won't let them go.
QOTD - I have been back to the office full time for about 1 1/2 years and had my staff come as soon as I could make it happen - last September. Moral and productivity are finally back to normal. WFH did not work well for my unit IMHO. For me it was like herding kittens to supervise 9 people and pulling teeth to communicate effectively.

Jim, beautiful pictures and an amusing narrative on BINGO. I haven't played BINGO since I was much much younger but it does sound like a good time, especially with the Mai Tai.
Today will be my last day in the office for 2 weeks. Tomorrow DD, her friend, and myself leave for Montana where the girls will be working at the state fair. My SIL helped them get the job. They will be in a ticket booth, selling tickets. It will be both girls first official paying job so they are excited. I am going and will be working remotely during the 2 weeks we are there. DH and DS plan on coming one weekend to visit, maybe go to a concert at the fair.
Josie, my rottie, has a torn **** was getting better but I am not sure what she did yesterday but now she is limping more than she was. I think she was running in the yard. The vet suggested that we crate her (she hasn't been in a crate since she was a small pup) when she cant be supervised. You think that animals would be smarter, dont run if it hurts! Big dummy. We still have her on anti-inflammatories/pain medications. I am really hoping that she can heal on her own. We have also put her on a diet since she is a smidgen overweight.
QOTD: I typically work in the office 4 days per week. I have a lot of flexibility so can modify my work hours as needed. I also have the option to work remotely, which I rarely do since I am more productive in the office. I can get distracted at home with other things. However, I am pretty efficient and usually ahead on needed tasks.
B: triple zero greek yogurt, collagen, raspberries, keto granola, cold brew with half n half
L: Summer salad with chicken, poppy seed dressing
S: protein frosty
D: maybe another salad or just chicken with veggies
S: 100 calorie popcorn bag, 4 sf squares chocolate
E: 60 hot power yoga
Happy Hump Day.
