Good morning! A beautiful weekend for us. So lucky in my life in s many ways. Need to remember that. Today is just chores and groceries and trying to get a walk in appt for brown dog. He's got an ear infection, and the soonest there is a scheduled appt is Thursday. We are self treating with cleaning out stuff and antibiotics from a previous bout. It's better, but there are few things as nasty as an ear infection in your dog. Stinky, stinky, stinky. Ew.
I woke up this morning to the rolling and swaying of an earthquake. I just looked it up and it was in Baja CA with no injuries reported so I can feel not guilty about the fact that I love that feeling. It's a California thing, I guess.
QoTD: We are watching The Old Man together and I am reading Caste (slowly, like ten pages a day. So much to process!) and Something in the water.
Menu:
b: 1/4 c cottage cheese and 3 turkey meatballs
L: leftover stuffings of the stuffed peppers from last night. Really good!
D: Parm roasted chicken, heirloom tomato and maybe a few fingerlings
Peace Everybody!

I started Caste some months ago. You're right, it's a lot to process. While interesting, I gave up - don't know if I'll go back.
I hear you on the earthquakes!

Happy Monday
I had a good weekend. We didn't get to go kayaking as planned yesterday since there was no parking near the launch point. However, DD has a chiropractor appointment this morning near the lake so we will go after. Otherwise some chores, then yoga at the end of the day.
QOTD: I just finished the silent patient (good twist at the end), the gifted school which was an interesting take on parents gaining validation through their kids talents. Now I have started the wild girls. Listening to the green mile on audible. I saw a new show on prime called I love that for you that I really liked. Unfortunately it was only the first episode that was available because you have to subscribe to showtime. Kinda looking for some funny comedies to watch.
B: triple zero Greek with collagen, raspberry, keto granola, cold brew coffee with half n half
L: summer salad with chicken and poppy seed dressing
S: protein frosty
D: chicken, mixed vegetables with yogurt ranch
S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares of sf chocolate
E: kayaking, yoga

You are so active everyday! Like 2 hours at least worth. I wish I had your commitment!! What does the collagen do for you? Do you see/feel a difference?

Actually most days I do 60 minutes to scheduled activity then once weekly I like to do a "fun" workout like kayaking, skiing, hiking, etc. isn't that one of the reasons we had WLS? So we can get out an do something fun? I appreciate the kids!
I started the collagen early after surgery when I noticed I was losing lots of hair. Which is a usual part of the WLS journey. Anyway collagen is great for hair, nails, and skin. I am not sure how much it actually helps but my hair did start growing back, skin is looking better so I keep taking. I would t say my nails grow very fast.

My hair growing back was why I had to cut my long hair off. It looked ridiculous, but it all came back. Thanks for the review. I've heard good things about collagen and was thinking about taking a deep dive there.
