Thanks! It's literally sipping all day while I'm awake to the point where I feel so full.

Seems my clinic is in the camp of all fluids count but they want 64 ounces. And of that, three servings should be protein. So it kind of evens out in the end. Still feels like progress is being made! Cheers.

Your doing great. Set the alarm to get up and walk during the day at least once an hour the rumbling can still be from air trapped in you. The movement will get it out and also help you move your bowels if you have not yet.

I went 10 days before I had a bowel movement post-op! Finally, with the aid of a laxative. Small walks are good for you even if just up and back on your sidewalk in front of your house.

LOL on the meme. It is so true about the trail mix. I rarely, if ever, eat trail mix since it has so many darn calories in such a small volume serving.

Yesterday, as planned, DD and I went to the lake to kayak. It was so beautiful and peaceful I was instantly filled with relaxation and serenity. The weather was a perfect 85 degrees, no wind, no clouds, very little traffic on the water., and good conversation with DD. It was a perfect outing. Planning on getting out again this Sunday.

Today is work. I am doing a walk through of the various departments in the hospital to assess for appropriate bariatric furniture for patients & guests. I am surprised at some of the departments that are deficient in having the correct furniture. Or the furniture is not labeled for max weight. The plan is to submit for a capital budget request for missing bariatric furniture for the coming fiscal year. It is eye opening. I do remember what it was like trying to wedge myself into too small chairs. Or how about if you went to a business with flimsy chairs that you were worried about breaking and falling on your ass. Americans have gotten larger, not smaller so businesses need to act accordingly to make sure people of size are comfortable and not embarrassed trying to fit themselves into too small or flimsy furniture.

I will take a new after picture so that I can do the before and after throwback Thursday. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's transformations! So fun to see everyone's faces.

QOTD: Robot aliens reminds me of Terminator when robots took over the world, so no to robots. Not even sure I want an organic alien...but of the two the organic alien may be easier to overthrow when the time comes for the human race to rule again.

Good morning!

Our little retirement party was great fun and the food was excellent. I nibbled on one stuffed pasta shell and ate salad. Oh, and I stole one bite of pizza from my daughter. Not too much damage done. Today is a whole bunch of nothingness. Neither my husband or I have a thing to actually do. Maybe tackle that pantry today? Been on my to do list for weeks now. The problem is that it is high and very deep, so things just sort of start stacking up and tumbling around when I'm digging for ingredients that I know are in there. I really need to gut it and sort it 2-3 times a year and it's been a few months. Making me crazy. Lets see if I can master that chore today.

QoTD: Organic

menu

B: 3 oz smoked pork and 1/4 c cottage cheese

L: leftover chicken and feta with blistered tomatoes and green beans

Peace Everybody. Looks like I need to go actually do my hair and make up so I can do an updated "after" photo for tomorrow!

Is it weird that I love organizing pantries? I love the feeling of taking everything out, sorting things, and organizing them so that it makes sense and it's pleasing to look at.

Not weird at all! Once I get started, I'll be loving it. And when completed, I'll stop by to gaze at it a few times a day because of the happiness it will bring me. LOL!

G'morning all!

I can eat my weight in trail mix. TJ has one with dark chocolate that I stay away from. I saw a keto trail mix at Costco and almost bought it, then read online that you can make better keto trail mixes on your own. I tried, but I'm weak in front of nuts too (in addition to chocolate), so that was another failed project. In general when the suggested serving is 1/4 cup by now I know I'm not good with it.

QOTD: I go with robots and here's why. Robots are made by "someone" so that means there is a weak spot somewhere that eventually we can use to our advantage. If the overlords are organic (I'm thinking of Alien) then I just get grossed out and give up. I can't imagine a cute organic matter taking over earth, if it's organic they are gross and slimy; and my gag reflex is sensitive.

Accountability: I do this to myself because every time I think I can control myself. At TJ I saw in their new items section a bag of pineapple chili kettle popcorn. The word kettle should have warned me off but noooooo, I'm taking the bag thinking I'll have just a couple to see what they taste like. Well, half a bag later (eaten in the car while driving home) I find out yeah they are yummy but not for me because I have ZERO control.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee
  • Mex cauli rice & ground turkey
  • Ice coffee+PP, kettle cron (see accountability)
  • Hb eggs & tuna
  • E: cardio & weight

Happy hump day!

OMG It was SO hard to resist buying that popcorn! Especially considering how the cashier was talking it up and trying to talk me into buying! I almost caved - so close! I'm usually the biggest TJ's sucker.

I am dying at your slimy not cute aliens and your gag reflex, lol. But I guess you are right, it's probably not the Ewoks invading!

I will avoid that popcorn, I'm pretty lucky because while I like popcorn, I don't really like kettle corn
