What's on your junior Friday (Thursday) menu?
G'morning all!
It's almost Fri-yay! We have a busy weekend and will be all over the place. But first, I gotta survive today. I can do this!
I gotta share this with you guys because I'm still laughing about it. A new coffee/tea place has opened up near us and DH offered to get me a cup for breakfast. So he got up early and went to get me this new fangled tea. He came back with something that looked like muddy water. I asked him what it was. He said he didn't know (he is not a coffee or tea drinker), he asked the barista to make her favorite drink. I took a sip and it took all my will power not to spit it out. Not only it looked like mud it tasted like mud. I left it on the counter and now, a couple of hrs later, the mud definitely is resting at the bottom of the cup and it looks disgusting. I guess we won't be going back to that place. Sometimes things shouldn't become too healthy.
QOTD: Ozark. I suffered through 2 seasons because everybody was raving about the series but I can't. I just can't. Don't like any of the characters. I also don't like HIIT. I know and understand all the benefits but I really don't like pushing myself to the limit. Last year when DH got me doing the sprint HIIT to improve my everyday running, I hated every minute of it. Why run like I'm being chased by a tiger when I can have a leisurely jog? Just a few days ago he suggested to restart our HIIT trainings but I think one look from me, without saying a word, shut him up.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Mex cauli rice + shredded pork
- Fage yogurt, iced coffee+PP
- Hb eggs & tuna pouch
- E: 4 miles neighborhood hills wog
Happy jr Fri-yay!

hahah, I can picture the look you must have given DH. I am with you on Ozark, I love Jason Bateman and Laura Linney but one episode of that was enough for me. I have to like a character, at least one...or at least have one that I don't hate. When we read Gone Girl for bookclub and then had to go see the movie as a group, when we were discussing it after, they said "you had to have liked something" and I said I liked the cat. I hated Gone Girl.

Totally agree with your assessment of Ozark; love the two actors but somehow together and the whole story line didn't attract me. The frizzy hair girl, I didn't like her in Ozark but LOVED her in Inventing Anna.
Gone girl: I looooved the book, but I didn't like the movie. Again the actors, especially Ben Affleck, just rubbed me the wrong way.

I agree that the characters were unlikeable in Gone Girl. I read the book, but I did enjoy the book. Sometimes you love to hate the characters. The characters in Ozark are unlikeable but you still root for the Bateman family since they are under the thumb of a ruthless criminal. I think the same thing with Breaking Bad.

Love the meme as always. You some up with the best memes. Does it take you awhile to find them every day?
Well I took the bariatric nurse certification exam and wish I would have studied more on vitamin deficiencies with their symptoms. Usually after the test you are told right away if you passed but apparently this credentialing body sends the results by mail after 4-6 weeks. Talk about old fashioned since there is no reason results shouldnt be available right away due to computer technology. Heres hoping I passed!
Today, I have my post-op appointment from my gallbladder and incisional hernia surgery. Did I mention that during the surgery they noticed that my omentum was inflamed and firm? I did have a CT scan last week for follow-up. Unfortunately, they ordered it without contrast which did not provide any answers since it showed a "mass like appearance near the roux limb". this was seen on earlier scans and I did have an MRI which did not show any masses. Anyway, they want another CT with contrast in 4 months. I am not really worried since I do not have any abdominal pain. Also my liver enzymes, which had been elevated, have normalized. Other than that appointment, I have a hair color and cut plus a massage this evening. So no exercise today.
QOTD: I will agree on the Twilight series (although I did read the books, the movies were a trial).
B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, 1/2c raspberries (from the garden!), keto granola, cold brew with half n half
L: summer salad with chicken, poppy seed dressing (Panera brand 25 cals/serv-really tasty)
S: protein frosty
D: 3oz chicken, 6 cherry tomatoes, 1/3c cauliflower
S: 100 cal kettle corn, 4 squares sf chocolate
E: none
Peace and axle grease! Have a terrific Thursday.

I usually download and crop a bunch of them at a time so I don't have to do it every morning but if I wake up with a funny thought in mind, I might search for something to match it!
Cut, Color and massage on the same day sounds glorious! Best Thursday ever, lol.

Raspberries from the garden! Yum. Those don't grow here, too hot. Veggies are grown in Winter months here. I am in Zone 10/11. Anything tropical does well. I have 2 bananas fruiting. It will be a couple of months before the are ready to harvest, you cut the whole bunch down when green. Kids love the really tiny kinds, my favorites are Lady Fingers.
