Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate Chewy bites, Caramel, 500 mg x 4 a day
Bariatric Advantage Ultra Solo without iron, x 1 per day
Celebrate B-50 Complex x 1 per day
Celebrate B-12 x 1 per week
Bariatric Advantage chewable gel Viatmin D3, x 1 per week
Bariatric Advantage chewy Iron, x 1 per day
I would love to get away from having to go to my doc's office to get these, but it seems just as costly online. My blood work has been near perfect since surgery, so I am a bit frightened to start changing things. I'd guess my vitamins are costing me about $1,000 a year, maybe a bit more. Probably a small price to pay for the benefits of the surgery, but still, it is shocking to me and my checkbook when I have to refill!
why not get the Bariatric Advantage with Iron, then you could deleted the chewy iron?

My doc is huge on keeping iron separated from calcium and the other vitamins. So I do all the vitamins and calcium from 7 am to 11 am and then eat an iron raspberry chocolate chew at bedtime.
Based on labs, I'm doing great. But with retirement, we are definitely looking at expenses. Anybody got any good ideas to get away from cable? Ha!

I cut the cable cord a few years ago; I have a few channels that I buy annually and a few that only do monthly (Netflix), plus I get PBS because I'm a monthly donor. With the channels I have, I'm still paying less per month than I was for cable. If something streams on a station I don't have, I will wait for that channel to have a "one week free" or "try this month for 99 cents"...and then I set a reminder to cancel before that period is up. I'm saving around 900 a year and I still have more TV options then it's possible to watch, lol.

Yes the calcium and iron do need to be separated since they bind to the same receptor. I was instructed to separate iron and calcium by at least 2 hours so I take my bariatric advantage with iron first thing in the morning, then about 2 hours later I take my first calcium. Since you can only assimilate 500mg of calcium at a time those also need to be spread across a minimum of 2 hour intervals throughout the day. Since the Bariatric advantage with 60mg of iron also has B vitamins I have not needed additional supplementation thus far. You should discuss the regimen with the bariatric team to see if you can consolidate some of those vitamins for expense reasons.

Yeah I can see that sticker shock and also the anxiety of switching something that is working. I take the centrum sr 2X based on some feedback from here; otherwise, 1 do the same calcium as you, 3x a day - the caramel is a nice treat, plus the B12 2X a week and preferrin for iron. So far so good but it's always something top of mind!
