What's on your Monday menu, everyone?

Good morning everyone. Today is my last full day in the lovely town of Congress, AZ. I'm heading home tomorrow early. My niece is coming in tomorrow night so my dad will have continued company for a few more days. I spent the weekend cleaning up his "office space" and other cubbies around the house. And cooking, cooking, cooking. His freezer is chock full of options. Also, he's lost three pounds since I got here. That's a trend we are hoping to continue. With good grab and go options all he needs to do is keep up on a light fruit or salad side and the work is all done.
Today we are taking boxes of ancient electronic stuff to the recycler and doing a small grocery run. It's the last thing on my check list for him to be able to handle so I can leave and have some comfort that he'll be fine. Yesterday's tasks included laundry, loading the dishwasher and driving. He's doing great on everything. Just has to remember not to reach or lift with that left arm.

QoTD: I still don't think I can squeeze between two things, like a chair and a table at a restaurant and look for another , wider option to use.

Food formtoday

b: oikos triple zero yogurt and 1/4 cup cinnamon cheerios

l: not sure. Maybe lunch meat and cheese

d: making a large casserole of Shepherds Pie so that I can freeze some for Dad. I will have some of that and try to go light on the potatoes.

Peace Everybody!

Hi y'all.

Checking in. Hubs and I got covid, thankfully we are on the other side. Felt like a truck hit me for a couple of days, then just a lot of congestion and runny nose crap hung around. I'm so thankful for vaccinations and boosters! This crap is NO joke! I hope you are all doing well. Today is my first day back at work, it's good to see people and faces, instead of my four walls and barking dogs.

QOTD - I still buy clothes too big. It's annoying.

How is everyone??

Me too. It was gross. My dogs felt the need to lay on top of me too, while I was in bed. It was nice when I had a fever and was cold but after being home for like 10 days straight I started to feel like a dog... I was ONE with the dogs!

Maniac Monday. Cute meme. You certainly find some fun memes to cheer up our day!

I also had a nice weekend. Friday was chill, just work and hot yoga. DS and I watched Stranger Things. We are on the last episode which we are breaking up into 2 viewing sessions due to the length. I like this season but DS says he prefers the previous season. We are hoping for one more season but I think this is the last. Saturday we went to the rodeo which was fun to watch. My favorite event was the barrel racing since it was so fast paced. Sunday DD and I went kayaking with my mice who moved to town. I would have liked a little warmer weather (it was 80 with a light wind). I was too cold to swim but DD and niece did get in the water. I did however get a sunburn in only a hour and a half. I didn't put on any sunscreen like a dummy.

QOTD: I am sure there is something but nothing on the top of my head

B: triple zero Greek yogurt with collagen blueberries and keto granola, cold brew with half n half

L: protein frosty

S: TBD

D: strawberry blueberries blackberries lettuce chicken salad with poppy seed dressing

S: 100 cal kettle corn, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 60 min hot yoga
