That picture is awesome. I don't think there's an el train that runs by Tribune Tower I remember hearing about that the Tribune Tower has parts of buildings from around the world embedded in the facade. A quick Google search brings that the Tribune has pieces of the following: Edinburgh Castle, the Great Pyramid, the Great Wall among many others. https://thenewchicagoan.com/chicago/tribune
Speaking of el stations, the Western Brown Line station on the north side has a big slab of the Berlin Wall displayed. Here's a pic:

Because ***** arenas is so small and the labs were over stretched, we took the abbot labs proctored tests with us as a back up. Not sure if that is an option for you (for us it was the inbound to the US and met the requirements). If it is a possibility, it's essentially a home test that you each do on video with a doc and then they certify it same as they would if you were in the office. I think they were 35 each.

I second the abbot tests. Very easy to do and accepted by airlines and US for re-entry.

those home tests aren't all that accurate, either. I think they were at one time, but now there's a fairly high percentage of false negatives (I don't think it gives false positives, though). It worked OK with Delta et al, but it's not as good detecting Omicron, from what I understand. Plus you're right - they don't know who's actually taken the test if it's a home one.
Mornin'!
it'll be a nice day today, so I'll head out on my bike. I also need to take one of the cats to the vet for a steroid injection so DH and the cat sitter won't have to worry about giving him his daily prednisolone while I'm gone. We also have to come up with a strategy for the stem cell stuff for the other cat's eye. My vet was out yesterday, so they'll have her get in touch with me today. Time is of the essence since I'm leaving Monday, and it's going to be harder than usual to make alternative plans with the holiday weekend coming up, so I hope this all works out. I also have to run around getting stuff from my mother before I leave on my trip. I'll be so, so glad not to have to do a bunch of running around for her for the almost two weeks I'll be abroad. It was so much easier when my sister was in town since there were two of us waiting on her. Now it's just me...
QOTD: the only things that come to mind are these godawful things we ended up with after our fathers died, stuff that belonged to our grandparents or great grandparents that we're afraid to get rid of because they're family "heirlooms" (huge stretch to call them that). Like this hideous candle stick holder that belonged to one of my great grandparents, and these awful wooden lamps that DH's grandfather made (he was really into wood carving). The candle holder is in a box in my living room closet, and the lamps are in the basement.
B: Greek yogurt with fruit (not sure which type of either yet). Coffee with half & half.
MS: protein shake
L: maybe the rest of the pulled pork and some cole slaw made with Asian style dressing
AS: L&F yogurt and a skinny bagel - or else a protein muffin
D: ?? maybe the half fake chicken burger that I didn't have last night...
have a great day, everyone!
forgot to add a picture. This isn't technically one, but it's funny. Someone posted a question on quora the other day, asking if senior citizens listened to rock & roll. It elicited a TON of responses, including "WTF? We INVENTED it!!". I posted something about it on FB because the question was so ridiculous, and a friend left this cartoon as a response to my post:
