Good morning and suddenly, it's July!!

We made it to Friday and a long weekend (for some of us at least!).

I am so ready for the weekend, I have a busy morning and then it drops off a cliff this afternoon so I think it will be a good day. I have a concert tonight, workout with my trainer and bbq tomorrow and then some dog sitting for some friends; from my house I can watch the fireworks at our fairgrounds on Monday so that's my weekend all sorted out.

QOTD - we talked about what's everyone's fridges yesterday -- what's something strange in your house? I still have my christmas tree up -- I realized at christmas how much I enjoyed having the lights when I have my morning coffee or evening wind down so I took down all the ornaments but left the tree up and the light cycle on.

Menu today is

coffee plus half and half X2

Enchilada fillings on half a jalapeño-olive-cheese scone

L&F greek

dinner either a bunless burger or steak salad

My pictures today are the farm where my friend in Maryland is a therapeutic riding instructor and a flower.

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend, full of whatever brings you joy and mental restoration!

Thank you!

I had an incredible thing happen today! I found a Nikon d3200 camera with two lenses, two batteries and two SD cards for 6 bucks at the thrift store. It's a heck of a find!

Happy Fri-Yay all!

You would think that by now OH would add Fri-Yay to its autocorrect dictionary, right?

We watched Father Stu last night. Both of us liked it. I also really enjoyed the soundtrack, mostly outlaw country from the 60's and 70's.

Our office is closed next week, but I anticipate doing some work at least, since I am taking a vacation later in the month. During the shutdown week I have a list of about ten things that I need to do, mostly related to getting ready for the (hopefully non-iceberg/orgy/riot) cruise. We are also going fishing in Lake Michigan on Tuesday, so between those and normal workout stuff it should be a good week.

We found out yesterday that Walgreen's will no longer do free COVID testing. I guess we aren't all in this together anymore. So it's going to be $139 a person to get a CVS test. I guess the reason we can't use our home tests is because there is no way to verify who actually took the test. I can think of a lot better ways to spend the $139x4 on the cruise than nostril swabbing.

I want to see Blondie August 27th, so hopefully getting those tickets tonight. Marilyn wants to go but also is getting stressed about how over scheduled we are.

QOTD: We have had a family of five in this house for 19 years, so basically all of the things.

Giving everybody a break from Dead and Company posting until after the holiday (remember, we did dedicate a week to orange cats), but one picture can't hurt:

Breakfast: Steak and Cottage Cheese

Lunch: Hamburger

Dinner: hopefully wine, cheese and prosciutto on the screen porch

Have a great day and long weekend all!

Individual event concert posters have really been stepped up over the last year or so. I really like seeing it return as an art form.

I bet Matt knows, but I don't think there is any L station with the Wrigley building clearly visible in the background.
