Good morning! I did in fact walk yesterday. 2.5 miles. I know, I am as surprised as you all must be. We have the girls so last night was all about introducing them to neighbor kids and then movie night at my house. All went well until bedtime, then two little over tired, worn out literal happy campers went to hell in a handbasket and we nearly had a brawl on our hands. Once we got that sorted, they passed out. One is sitting next to me happily coloring on a lunch bag for today. I've got to chase the other one downstairs here in 8 minutes, but I am giving myself a bit of time for this and coffee.

Then we are off to the races. Lunches packed, breakfast to cook, two small bodies to wrangle through a shower and then pin down to get hair brushed out. Sunscreen from head to toe. Find the tennies. Remember the water bottles, make sure the lunch packs have enough snacks, out the door, drop off at camp and then I am dressed for, and hoping to, complete the same 2.5 miles as yesterday. Get home for a shower, lunch and rest and then tonight we are meeting friends to go to an outdoor ABBA review concert and dinner on the lawn. Except for the hour drive each way (and the pinning down to come out the youngest one's hair) it should be a really great day.

QoTD: Yes, and Rog will be my chauffeur/additional partner in crime. He'll be at the pool all day if I do conference stuff.

Menu:

B: left over Maui rib, sliced tomatoes

L: turkey deli meat, slice of cheese, eggwhite roll up

D: not sure, they are providing dinner and I think they said Italian is on the menu. So probably I will be eating toppings and inners. And red wine.

Peace Everybody!

Good morning, I am back from my beach weeks. We took one fishing charter and mainly caught under sized trout, pompano and lots of catfish. I caught the biggest, which was a 4 foot bonnet (shovel head) shark. Fun to catch. Since fishing was so poor the captain engaged the porpoises (dolphins) in play. They love to draft in the boats wake and jump out of the water. There was a family, mom, older but young sibling and a new baby about six months. It was so cute, although not good a jumping. But points for trying! I do have videos. I don't know why I get all excited about them, other then they come so close you can reach out and touch them. I see dolphins every day outside the office windows at a distance.

QOTD. No not going to the conference.

Melody, I feel your aggravation with pain doctors. I have waited 5 hours to see mine! But the doctor always helps me, where others do not. If they felt what we do they would be a lot more understanding. I hope you get your meds today.

Great eight, great recap on the concert. I have never traveled to see one, but then I hate planes and airports.

Menu. Breakfast, protein shake. Lunch: omelette. Dinner: Salmon and cauliflower stir fry.

G'morning all!

My only interaction with deadheads was when I was in grad school in Boston. I lived in a house with 5 other people. At some point there was a commotion because during the weekend greatful dead was coming into town. I didn't think much of it until our house (and it was a huge Victorian house) was crawling with deadheads. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you I think about 50 people slept at our house during that weekend. I was livid because none of them understood personal space or even personal belongings.

QOTD: Yup, going. Bought the flight, and conf tickets. Bunking with Amy!

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee
  • Shredded chicken with cauliflower thins
  • Fage yogurt w/blueberries, protein puff
  • Taco Tue, used cauliflower thins as my shells.
  • E: cardio + weight

Happy hump day!

I think some of the jam band fans can be a lot! To my knowledge, Phish is the only group bAnned from red rocks?and it was because of how badly their fans acted during a four night stand there back in the 90s. I?m not sure that ban is still in place though, all though it feels recent, all those bad behaving fans are probably middle aged now, lol
