what's on your Thursday Menu
Good Morning Menuers,
Yeah Thursday. I can't believe how time flies. I will be busy today here at work and I got no plans for this evening so I may just relax and go to bed early. That's what I'm feeling right now but that all can change in an instant.
QOTD: I took Money from a homeless man in Vegas. OK I was on the Deuce and they raised the price and I needed a dime. I had a bunch of $100 and $20 but not a single dime or any change. (Not Super sober) I just wanted to get back to the hotel and the bus driver would not move the bus till Me and BF paid 20¢. Everyone on the bus was revolting and wanted us off but 1 guy who you know was scavenging finally put his had out with 2 dimes. I scraped them up and used them. I could only thank him because I was not giving up $20 for 20¢. This would not happen today. This was before I had a career.
Accountability: I had some more of the Berry Pizza.

G'morning all!
My plans for the weekend got scratched due to Covid but at least it wasn't just me. 4 of us had plans for a girls weekend and sleepover at my house. I had warned them it was going to be a no go because of DH and his COVID. Original plan was to kick him out of the house and have the house to us girls; he was gonna stay with his brother. We kinda thought we could work around it until one of the friends also came down with Covid. She is a pediatrician, had to go to a conference in San Diego with about another 50 pediatricians, tested all 3-4 days, nothing, got on the plane and came back...the morning after she tested positive.
QOTD: it's more a family story, and it sounds more weird here than in Europe. On my mom's side they all have noble titles, like real titles; my mom is a marchesa (marchioness). She was engaged to marry a prince (an actual guy with that title), but she met my dad and fell in love with him. HORROR, a dentist with no title...a commoner!!! My grandpa didn't go to their wedding and didn't meet me or my brother. He died after my brother was born. l've seen pictures of the prince and so happy my mom didn't marry him; he looked so pompous while my dad was so sweet.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Scrambled eggs & shredded cheese
- Epic chicken, pickle peanuts, few cherries
- My version of chicken fried rice with cauliflower rice
- E: 4.5 miles jog
Happy almost Fri-yay!

Your mom knew it was better to be with a good man than some one with a fancy pedigree!

fascinating family history. I think people who do ancestry searches hope to find something interesting like you described in their family tree. But alas, most of us are from peasant stock!

During the huge migrations from Europe to US, the nobles or people who were well off had no reason to leave and move to America. People who wanted a better life for themselves risked it all and came to US. Hence, when they look into their ancestry they are as you call it from "peasant stock!"
Very much like the caravans now coming from Southern/Central America. It's very strange to me that some people are against it while their ancestors did the same thing; looking for a better life and escaping the unfair ruling government.
