If you go to a distillery they can get really warm inside.

The second definitely, but when we toured Glenfiddich, I was roasting because of the temperature of the stills (even before the tasting started).

Good morning! We got home from the hospital last night at ten. A very long day. Dad ended up needing three stents plus two balloon procedures and one laser procedure to clean out that vein. That sucker was plugged. Beyond grateful his doc forced him in for these tests to prepare for the upcoming valve replacement. My Dad is such a good sport and good spirit. He essentially had to lay still in the same spot from 6:30 am until 7:30 pm, during the procedure, until the blood thinners passed and the once they pulled the surgical port site, he wasn't allowed to sit up or prop up for six hours. He stayed in good spirits and when I got him home he rewarded himself with a scotch. I joined him with a glass of wine. Also, since he was flat on his back, I ordered and ate his dinner. Shockingly good for hospital food. A pear strawberry spinach salad with feta and chopped chicken. I hand fed him the pears like he was a baby bird. If he's in good shape this morning I am heading home after I make him breakfast. I've set him up with several healthy, easy to put together meals in his fridge/freezer.
QoTD. Let's see, I walked on a fully broken ankle for a year. Hiking, ATV-ing, vacationing. That was fun. Also, one morning many years ago, my daughter was traveling with my parents so Roger and I took our boys out to breakfast in San Diego. We ended up in Las Vegas. We stopped at a Target and got toothbrushes and new underwear and just lived in the moment. Spent a great night and drove home the next day.
food today
B making Dad a chili relleno casserole. I will have some of that and them package that up for him for options.
L I think I will take a slice of breakfast as road food.
D. Hopefully Rog is smoking a brisket on his new smoker. Or, maybe I will cook the maple bacon bourbon beef sausages we bought. Whatever it is, it will be on track for my food goals because my gut is not happy with the things I have been offering it this week. I haven't made bad choices, but not being able to control the ingredients have my insides unhappy I think.
Peace Everybody and I hope I talk to you all from my home tomorrow!

It sounds like your dad is a good patient. I am glad to hear the procedure went well, although technically difficult for the cardiologist. A long day. Good job on being there for him.
