That couple must live under a rock. To have not heard of Smells like Teen Spirit?? You may need to de-friend these people since they are so unaware of the world around them! LOL.

Mornin' All!

I have a few errands to run -- including returning some library books and picking up my passport from our safe deposit box -- so I may do some of them this morning so I can bike over. It'll be much too hot (again...) this afternoon to be outside. We had a wonderful, normal weather day yesterday - but it's back to the oven. Scotland is going to feel fantastic after this nonsense.

QOTD: two things come to mind, but I don't know that they're particularly weird. One is when I was taking a class in medieval architecture when I was in my 20s. I fell in love with Salisbury Cathedral, so I booked a trip to England for spring break and headed over there - by myself - to see it in person! The second is when I was also in my 20s. I desperately wanted out of North Carolina, where I'd been living since I was 16. I saw one of those bumper stickers that some of you older folks might remember - "Escape to Wisconsin" - so I packed up and moved here! (now there are days I'd like to escape FROM Wisconsin, though. Evanston, Illinois is mighty appealing...)

B: plain skyr with strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: sweet kale salad (one of the those packaged things I got at either Aldi or Costco) and 1/2 C cottage cheese

AS: protein muffin

D: either pulled pork (if I decide to make a pot of it) or 1/2 a fake chicken burger and some vegetables

if I bike long enough this morning, I may allow myself some homemade gelato. I have coffee, limoncello, and rose/pistachio in my freezer at the moment (DH had the rose/pistachio last night - I was surprised he picked that - and more surprised that he liked it! He's more into standard flavors of anything - in other words, not very "adventurous" when it comes to food. Unlike moi....)

I hope you have great weather in Scotland; when we were there, everyone had packed thinking it would be 60s-70s and it was 80-90s; layers are always my friend when traveling, lol, although I didn't/don't have any of those zip on/zip off pant to short conversions but think they could be handy.

I'm definitely thinking layers. And I'll definitely bring a wool sweater just in case, too. When I was in Ireland several years ago (in June), it was so cold I had to run out and buy one. It changed my life....
