Good morning! Still in Surprise, Arizona. My dad had a procedure yesterday and it turns out that one of his aortic veins, the one they called the Widowmaker, is 99.9% occluded. So we have to have another procedure today to clean that out and put a stent in. That is happening right now. If all goes well we get to go home this afternoon, and then we will come back on July 3 for his procedure on July 5. Thanks for all the good shout outs towards my dad yesterday. I found a hotel very near the hospital and while it's a little rundown it's more than serviceable. Except it is absolutely freezing in here. Can't get the air to stop blowing so I slept wrapped up in extra towels. Just making it happen, go with the flow, figuring out ways to be comfortable. You think I would love the cold, because it was 112 freaking degrees here yesterday.
QoTD. I'm going with talking. But I would take silver because my daughter would for sure take gold!
food today should be easier. They serve hot breakfast at the hotel so I had two eggs and two small pieces of bacon.
lunch TBD
Dinner we should be at Dad's house and I have great options there to pick from.
Peace Everybody!

It's mind boggling to me that nowadays they can do these procedures and send you home the same day. So happy you can be nearby and be a moral support.
And I hate it when I can't have the AC behave the way I want.

At my house we argue about the temperature. DH and DD wants to have the thermostat set at 68 (sometimes they bump it down lower). Me at DD would prefer 69-70 range. So I wear sweatshirts in the house. If I am watching tv I also use a blanket.

The idea of heat at 68-70 in our house is crazy! We are 65 max here all the time. We are blanket, sweater, socks and slipper people.

Wow that is a tight blockage. Did they say he had developed collateral circulation around the blockage. Our body sometimes tries to help out that way. I am surprised he didn't have any chest pain during activity. I am sending prayers his way and hope the procedure goes smoothly.
