G'morning all!

Jen, I had to look up the Lavazza espresso machine; I hadn't seen one. Wow! I def would choose a hotel if they have a Lavazza machine part of their in room amenities. I hope you get to go to the Greek restaurant, the dolmas are always my top pick.

Thank you all for the info about Covid positive results; it made us feel better that we don't have to push back the 5 days isolation period. Today is the 5th day of isolation after the first positive test. And now we have another 5 days of strict masking inside and outside. Last night we worked on a project that we had delayed since Mothers day. It was actually cool with the help of face time and our laptops being syncd to work on the same thing and not feel like he was in isolation.

QOTD: it all depends on the situation. If I'm on a trip with a group, and I'm not an early riser, but one or two decide to do something early morning I'll join them because I don't wanna miss it. Otherwise I'm usually not inclined to change plans because I do my legwork and planning beforehand. I don't want you to think I'm a stick in the mud but I don't suffer from FOMO.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee
  • Costco eggwich
  • Fage yogurt, puff protein
  • Baked chicken Parm
  • E: 4.5 miles jog

Happy taco Tue!

Good Morning PP and menu peeps! Please share those uneventful travel vibes with me!! We go to Mexico next week for vaaction and I'm anxious with all the news of delays/cancellations.

My day started off busy- a line of duty death is a lot of activity, and we have a few more seiously injured in the hospital. And someone else ended up with a limb amputation. Never thought I'd deal with two limb amputations in a non-medical career.

My approach to losing weight has been monitoring calories in/out. I've been having trouble finding my sweet spot for calories for loss and think I'm getting there now. My app it set for 1557 (and it redjusts automatically as I lose weight) and I'm typically under that amount by 200 calories so I'm thinking 1350-1450 is my losing calorie goal. I started at 1800 (nutritionist recommeded) with lots of trial and error-- hoping for consistentcy now. And I don't add back my exercise

QOTD: I'm rarely invited to things- so not much to miss out on.

Exercise: 1.3 mile run and sit-ups

Menu today:

premier protein shake, greek yogurt w/cheerios medley added

nature valley protein crunch bar

Ham & cheese sandwich, no-sugar diced peach cup

took out chicken wings for dinner

I have read about that event...my goodness is it sad! My prayers are with all of the people who were touched by this tragedy.

It is Taco Tuesday

sounds like so many of you have some fun plans scheduled. I would love a tropical vacation but usually like to reserve that for winter. We usually have a pretty summer (although can get hot) so I prefer to stick around this area when the weather should be nice. Next week DD and I will head back to Montana to work on the old family home. My SIL plans on helping out also. DD has invited a friend so I don't actually expect her to hang around to help. I am trying to schedule her some fun activities they can do. We will also head to BILs cabin for the weekend then back to our hometown for the 4th. Should be fun. DH and DS will meet us at the cabin so they will spend less time there.

I am on the surgery schedule today for the gallbladder and ventral hernia repair. Last night was miserable. I was awakened at 2am due to abdominal pain. Then was unable to get back to sleep. I check in at 11 this morning. I will be glad to have this behind me. Actually the timing of the surgery is perfect since I will be out of town anyways and would have not been able to do my usual exercises. By the time I get back from Montana I can restart my yoga. I will be doing some walking instead.

QOTD: I don't suffer from FOMO. I will cancel plans if I am not interested in attending. I will only accept if I am interested in doing it.

meals are tbd since I am NPO then usually too sleepy after surgery to eat right away. No exercise either.

have a great day.
