What's on your photo Friday menu?
Good to see you here, Cara!
You are too cute and skinny to be a grandma!
Seriously though, congrats.

Thank you! I?m always happy to see you too! Yes, my beautiful little Kai outlived her sister Mia by 14 months. My fervent hope is they are playing a game of celestial stalk-the-sunbeam together, or are curled up adorably on a pretty cloud, grooming one another. I miss them both to pieces. I know you know just what that?s like!

Heelo RNY'ers!
Oldies may remember me- I'm peachpie...aka Shauna. I had RNY back in 2015, great decsion and great outcome. I left the boards around the same time I left social medica in general. (I'm occasionally on instagram.) Back becuase I need a sense of community again. Can't wait to catch up!
Some changes in my life-- in rough order: Pandemic- I lost my bother to covid at the height of the pandemic. Shortly after we bought a new house that we're totally in love with. Within a week of moving in I came close to death with a ruptured appendix. May Dad passed away last year. I changed jobs last year too, a controversial move b/c I left working in city gov't management to working for the union that gives them the most angst. I feel semi-retired in my new role-- which is ok b/c my last was slave labor. I have so much time I decided to go back to school. Got a post-grad cert in employment law and will get a masters degree in law next year.
I've gained weight-- 60#'s is the amount I don't want. I had a perfect storm of a few issues that contributed- iron deficincy kicked.my.butt. I had a iron infusion in April that has me feeling alive again- and working on improving other stats. One thing I've learned is that fitness is far more important to me that the # on the scale. I never stopped working out- but had to change what I did since I was so weak/dealing with muscle soreness all the time. I just resumed running consistently :-)
QOTD- none. I dislike animals (despite having a cat & dog)
Meals:
Greek Yourt with 2 TBS of cheerios medley
Ham & cheese on wheat w/ popcorn
Premier protein shake
Dinner is usally out on Friday's-- not sure what.
Execise: 1.25 mile run, free weights and sit-ups.
