Midweek Wednesday is here! What's on your menu today?
Thanks for the camel. I remember the smell of Coppertone as a kid in the 60's. It still takes me back when I get a whiff of it. Like you somewhere in my teens it turned to no sunscreen at all or a bunch of oil. I lifeguarded for 4 years and have sun spots everywhere. I hope they never turn to anything worse.

Good morning! Finally! A cat meme made for me! LOL. I did really well on food choices yesterday, but had a hard time reaching full. Even though two of my meals were mostly roast chicken breast. So I added an afternoon snack, and a second baby back rib for dinner. I am hoping for a more comfortable feeling pouch today, but -- we are going to the San Diego County Fair today. I know I can get a meat stick or a gyros and eat the insides. But can I pass up on our traditional start the day off salty super thin fresh fried potato chips? Can I make it past our traditional on the way out of the gate hot fresh cinnamon roll? Challenges ahead for me for sure. At least there will be lots of walking. Finally. I've barely moved from couch to computer to grocery store since we got back from Europe. We'll enjoy the wood working displays and the baking and craft displays and wander the great big shopping halls to see what crap we did not know we could not live without.
QoTD: I walk a line. I don't like a ton of sun, but my favorite thing is to sit in the sun for 15-20 minutes and soak it up. I am sunscreened to tips of my toes and I wear a hat. My goal is sunshine with no tan lines. If I can achieve that I feel like I am managing both sides well.
menu today will be dicey!
B: at home so I got that covered. 1 scrambled egg, 1 piece of bacon a little cottage cheese
L and D TBD. I admit that a deep fried cheese on a stick is calling my name, I bet that would make me sick. I need to hold on to that thought.
Peace Everybody!

I could resist the chips and the cinnamon roll but would cave on the fried cheese in a stick. It's cheese...and it's fried...plus everything is better on a stick!

"...everything is better on a stick!", yeah about that. I was introduced to a corn dog as an adult at a fair. I was very confused why a hot dog would be on a stick, then I watched what they were doing with the hot dog dipping it in that pot full of oil. I was so shocked by the whole process that I've tried not to eat fried food since then. Totally turned off by fried or anything on a stick. I totally get it that fried stuff is typical fair food but if I can help it I stay away from anything fried, even before WLS! Just that picture of boiling hot oil in a pan gives me nightmares.

I agree about the vat of boiling oil, I never fry anything at home because it's nasty...but yum, corn dogs.

Jen, I didn't order it, but the restaurant we were at last Saturday had Italian beef Egg Rolls as an appetizer. Beef, Mozzerella, Giardinera, in mini egg roll wrappers and an Au Jus to dip it in.

Lol! Serious? You like corn dogs? I see it as a kids' food, very much like Mac & cheese.
