Good morning everyone! Happy Wednesday!!

It's actually my friday; I'm logging off at 1 and then headed out on some personal travel, then I get back and head out on business travel so no sure if/when I'll be posting for the next week or so. As always, anyone can and should start the threads, I think most weekdays I'm just the first up and computer-ing, lol.

I don't know if I'll have any wine for wine Wednesday but I'm sure some will be had over the long weekend.

QOTD - are you a sun worshiper or a sun avoider?

I am an avoider; red heads don't fair well in the sun and I'm one of those that goes from white to red and back again. I had some horrible sun burn/sun poisoning episodes when I was a kid (people really didn't know much about sunscreen in the 70s and early 80s) and so I worry about cumulative damage plus sunburns are uncomfortable!

menu today:

coffee plus half and half X 2

L&F greek

RGF pepperoni bites

tbd on dinner - probably something at the airport and I'll pack few mini meat sticks and a protein bar just in case I need them.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and week everyone!

Good mornin Jen and happy & safe travels!

Not a lot planned for the day. We have the kids until 3 or 4. Supposed to be another scorcher but not as bad as 108 we had on the weekend. I need to move to a better weather place. Something that doesn't have a ton of ups and downs. BUT I do enjoy not having horrid bugs since we freeze during the winter. LOL I don't think us humans are ever totally happy with the weather.

I'm not really feeling that well. Not sick but not well. My stomach is a bit off. My body of course is sore as heck. So over it.

Lana, I was wondering how your family in Montana is fairing with the floods? I'm not sure if what part they're in but I was thinking of that yesterday.

I'm incredibly tired so it'll be a long day. Rachel is spending the night. We'll be making her some apple fritter quick bread. She wants to bake with me, how could I tell her no?

QOTD: avoider. Some of my meds make it hard to be in the sun and I just really prefer not a lot of sun when I'm outside.

B: oatmeal and a pudding snack

L: some kind of soup

D: not a clue yet

S: I unfortunately had a few marshmallows and tasted the ice cream I made for the kids...otherwise maybe some nuts and maybe a toasted GF pita(they are super small)

My family is not near Yellowstone, which is where the flooding is. They are located in Great Falls, nestled between the plains and mountains. It is dry and droughty

Good morning ~ Wine Wednesday indeed! I'm sure I will participate this evening, again. Yesterday was a tough day at work. I'm just so annoyed at peoples behavior in our highly valued team setting. Why I am surprised? I don't know, I guess I always think better of them. The entitlement and manipulation - some people take up too much space, others not enough. 95% of the time I enjoy supervising - the other 5%? Makes me want to run.

Yesterday's pot luck - most dishes were healthy - shrimp ****tail, lettuce wrap tacos, cowboy caviar (I did not touch the tortilla chips), my Thai salad, all kinds of veggies and fruit and for dessert, angel food cake with strawberries. It was pretty nice actually.

QOTD - I LOVE the sun, but I don't lay out - no, no, no! I burn badly. I have sunscreen and hats and coverage where needed.

Accountability - you better believe there was wine and ice cream (just a few bites)

b- coffee, eggwich

l - Thai with my sister - probably chicken larb

d- chicken fajitas on 25 cal corn tortillas

s-celery dipped in ranch powder, yogurt, cherry tomatoes

Have a great day!

Sorry you have to deal with idiots but it sounds like everyone stayed on board with the healthy theme of the luncheon so that's a win.

Leading people is a tough job! It's like being a counselor, parent, task master, and preschool runner all at once. Hang in there!

At the beginning of covid when everything shut down it was the worst. Someone made a reference to supervising being like 'herding kittens' then - could not have been more true! Still is sometimes.

When I received my MSN in Leadership and Administration I made the conscious decision that I did not want to manage people. I have a low tolerance for "bull-ony" and expect people to act as professional adults. So not interested in little wars between staff. I would like the other aspects of leadership though, dang people.
