Good morning everybody!

I was up early to take Marilyn and my youngest to the airport. I am going to try and go back to sleep after this. They are going down to UAB for Freshman orientation. The program is on Tuesday and Wednesday. They are staying off campus and going to the program during the days. On Thursday, my son comes home and Marilyn goes to Santa Ana for Raquet Wars.

I believe that it is on Thursday that Marilyn will be checking out VACA for our Thursday evening party during the OH conference. Fingers crossed that it is good.

My youngest struggles with anxiety issues. Because of that we are trying to get him a single room at college as he feels like he needs to be alone during some times. We had a conference with the school on Friday and it seems like they will be accommodating. They suggested a single room in a suite, which he seems comfortable with.

QOTD: Lets go with time travel.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: Hamburger

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!

Great news they are willing to accommodate his room request, but still have him in a social situation that may help him get over his anxiety. I wish him all the luck in the world.

QOTD- I'll take teleportation too, hate long plane rides and there are so many places I would still like to see.

I finally got out and walked yesterday, only a little bit over 2 miles but at least it was something. It was way slower than my usual pace about 3 minutes a mile slower but it's a start.

Still haven't received notification from the state of Hawaii that they have my money, and I can't file to get it bac****il I receive notification. OMG How long does it take???

I got my oscillating fan out of storage, so maybe the nights won't be so bad.

I haven't worked enough hours in the last two weeks, so I put a note in with my time that if I can't consistently get enough hours I will need to look for another job. Not sure it will work but I can't buy a house on less than 40 hours a week.

Losing my mind stuck in this apartment with my loudly meowing cat. His latest is that he drinks out of the watering can, I got it out of storage to water the plants. We have a container garden going, tomatoes, cukes, peas, peppers, baby watermelon, and basil. Not sure how any of it will do, but we had to give it a try. I have 5 planters out back and 2 in front, the front gets more sunlight so we may rotate the planters every few weeks.

My roommate is a school bus driver, and school is finished. He probably won't have any work for at least a few weeks. So he'll be around more, not sure if that is a good thing. I'm used to being by myself all day.

I need to find out if they have any work for me.

Have a great day everyone!

at least the job market is really good right now - shouldn't be much of a problem finding a new one if you decide to go that route! My sister moved to Reno a couple of weeks ago and got offers from every job she interviewed for, and she's 59 years old (it's usually tough for folks over 50), so...

If I recall you live in the PNW? I am in Spokane. My planters are struggling due to our mild spring. So sad. I am not sure if I will get much in the way of produce the way it has been going.

Good morning! why do the grandbabies that are 8 and 10 need to wake up at 5:30 am? Aren't they supposed to be at the point where I get annoyed because I can't get them out of bed? Yesterday was struggle bus with food because we ate out for both breakfast and then an early dinner. I thought I coped really well with food choice both at the restaurants and at home with just some roasted chicken with no skin as a snack. But then Rog got out the peanut M&M's and I ate 7. Which is not a lot, but is SEVEN more than I promised myself I would eat when I saw him get them out. They are still from my party April 2, and now they are finally gone.

Today the plan is to use the hotel my friend is staying at and take the girls to the pool all day. Today is my daughter's 38th birthday. She is the strongest, nicest, kindest woman I know and I am incredibly proud of her. I think the girls and I will run and take her some flowers at work before we hit the pool. Just as a drop in birthday surprise. Happy Birthday to my Kati.

QOTD: teleportation would be useful, though sometimes I do enjoy the journey. Also useful, twitching my nose and having the house clean itself.

menu I am hoping for

B: hb egg and cottage cheese

L: I want to be good and take the chicken salad. I also want to have the unique opportunity to teach my girls about pool side service and ordering lunch and having it brought to you under the umbrella. Kati was about this age when I introduced her to it and her husband still blames me for her love of this. Oh pool boy....

D: Going out with our buddy who is in town. I am in charge of selecting a restaurant. Need to research some options. It's so beautiful out it would be nice to be on the water, and then even better if I make a good choice and get some fish.

Peace everybody!

You do sound very proud of your daughter. She is lucky to have you. I hope you tell her often how you feel about her.

Pool side service does sound nice. I guess I am too cheap since I dont want to pay for the upcharge or constant tipping of the pool person. You can still introduce the girls to pool service, but you stay on your plan.
