Mornin' All!

well, the cat still has corneal ulcers, but they're a big improvement over last time he went in. The ophthalmologist told us we could discontinue the antiviral med (the one he HATES) when we're done with it, which should be within the next two or three days, and continue with the antibacterial drops and the artificial tears gel until she next sees him in six weeks. Meanwhile, if he has another bad flare up, she'll call in an antiviral pill. He's horrible to pill, but it's got to be easier than that liquid form he's been on. Anyway, I'm glad we're able to give up that liquid. It's been an awful month (for him and for us)

I have one of my film discussion groups today over lunch, and I otherwise plan to watch more lectures for my class (I'm almost caught up!). There's a 20% chance of rain today (higher tonight), but it looks like it's going to rain any minute, so I may go to a Zumba class or do a youtube video (dance cardio) instead of biking today. I should also run by a second hand store or two and pick up some more long-sleeved t-shirts for my trip to Scotland (I do have a couple of them...but could use more since I won't have access to laundry facilities). I'm taking a few of those (maybe four? Including the one I wear on the plane...) plus a three or four sweaters (at least one of them wool - I've never been to Scotland, but I've been to Ireland - and it can get pretty cold and clammy in the summer - layering is the way to go!)

QOTD: I can't remember leaving anything, although I'm sure I have. But if I have, it wouldn't have been anything I truly missed, or I would remember it!

B: protein shake, coffee with half & half

MS: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with berry compote

L: 1/2 an Impossible burger (at the restaurant)

AS: hopefully nothing because it's going to be a calorie challenge today - but I do have some L&F yogurts and some Wasa crackers that should work if I get hungry

D: pulled chicken with BBQ sauce

this is a picture I took a couple of nights ago from one of my university's student unions (there are two student unions here - this is the original one). It has a wonderful terrace right on a lake. One of our favorite summer hangouts!

Good morning! I ordered these tops and bottoms from here: https://www.32degrees.com/collections/womens-base-layer?sort _by=manual&compactView=true&page=1 Dirt cheap. Spend 35 bucks and get free shipping. I wore the leggings under my pants on the planes (always freezing on a plane) and got a white, black and gray long sleeve shirt and wore them under my t-shirts. It's a terrific base layer that you can always slip into a bathroom and remove and stuff in your bag if you get warm. You can't seem to wrinkle them, and all four pieces I took with me took space barely larger than my fist!

I love 32degrees, I bought a bunch when I came back from Hawaii. Since I'd gotten rid of all the ones I had.

Giving cats meds is never easy, glad you won't have to deal with it much longer.

My rottie is also terrible when trying to give meds to. I had to give her eye drops which required several people to wrestle her to the floor and hold her down. Not an easy task when she is 80 lbs of muscle.

DH just took this picture of me attending (online) lecture this morning. Having this cat on top of me when I'm lying down or sitting (and always when I'm in bed - sleeping or propped up doing something) is pretty typical...
