What's on you Wednesday Menu?
I bought one of Charlie Trotter's cookbooks once. We loved his deli in Lincoln Park (unfortunately, we never made it to his regular restaurant, also in Lincoln Park). I'm a fairly accomplished cook, but no way could I make most of the stuff in that book. I don't even know where I'd get half the ingredients!
Good morning! First things first. For Jim and Amy -- Dutch fries. The line moved so quickly and I could hardly read the dip menu so I went with the first thing that sounded good. Garlic Sauce. A good pick, but if I ever get back there, I'll be ready to do a half and half! (you'll note these people are VERY serious about their mayonnaises) We went with size small and it was at least a potato and a half.

My day yesterday was very successful in terms of food and drink. I did manage the grocery store, but was definitely feeling very jet lagged and sort of went in circles around the store. I spent too much, but at least I spent it on good picks. I only got enough for 2.5 days and plan to go back on Friday when I have my wits about me. I did no exercise and after the last three weeks, my Iwatch thinks I might have died. It kept bothering me to get some steps in. I'm hoping to either take a walk this afternoon or do an online yoga class.
QoTD: reading The Mother in Law. A book out of Australia. It's very Big Little Lies and surprisingly very intriguing.
Menu for today should be:
B: 1/3 c cottage cheese, hb egg, 1 strip of bacon
L: I bought real low calorie bread yesterday, so I am thinking a BLT
D: making a new recipe for me. Chile Relleno Casserole.
Detox from carbs, sugar and wine continues!
Peace Everybody!

So happy to see you back and safe at home. Sorry I didn't reply yesterday with a warm welcome. Also, bummer about your friends testing positive. Yikes.
I read the MIL, that author is the same who wrote 9 perfect strangers. I liked it.
Were you the one *****c'd Liane Moriarty to me? Or was it Amy? Anyway she is a good Australian author too.

Good Morning Jen and Menuers,
Wow Jen you are busy. Hope it goes smooth for ya dear.
I found a flight on Spirit to Santa Ana that puts me there at 1:30 on September 29, but I won't fly back to Pittsburgh till Sunday Night October 2 at 8:17 but for $347.38 I think I got a great deal. I am getting so excited to see everyone it is crazy.
OK Jim talked me in to signing up for my race on the 4th of July so this morning I tested the waters. I ran 3.16 miles in 38.24 that is a 12:10 split. I won't be winning at that time but I will be able to finish and not embarrass myself.
I think today will be my Last PT session. I can do all the day to day stuff with little to no pain and I see the Surgeon next Wednesday so I hope this is over. I do not see me back in the gym doing the ropes and whatever else the HITT class entails but I may be able to go to Yoga Spin or even Kick boxing class where I can protect my arm. I'll talk to the surgeon on Wednesday.
