What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Good morning, everybody!
I stayed up too late watching murder shows and now I am paying for it this morning. Fortunately, I don't have anything scheduled until 11:00 when I have to run my son to the dentist office. Also, I should shower before I do that, optimally.
A quick update on my party. Marilyn has reservations at Vaca on the 19th of June. Nobody probably remembers, but she has a tennis tournament in the area and is going to check it out for us. Assuming that it is wonderful, I can make reservations 60 days in advance, so I will do that in late July.
I have a mental note of the "yes", "no", Maybe" and "as if" responses, but sometime in July I will post a survey to get the reservation number correct. Lisa has been very lovely and volunteered to coordinate transportation (i.e. Jim doesn't know how to use the Uber app).
QOTD: We get Barron's, which is printed on pulp paper, but is more of a magazine. I love reading it on Saturday morning with a cup of coffee.
Breakfast: Smoked salmon
Lunch: Roast Beef
Dinner: Butter Chicken
Have a great day, all!

Good morning from my home in San Diego. What a three weeks I have had. I had so many experiences, tasted so many new foods and met so many people. Paris is amazing, Bulgaria was rich in history and politics and Amsterdam was just damn fun. It took us about 24 hours from wake up in Paris to home, but it was definitely worth it. Our traveling companions, however, tested positive for Covid in Paris and have to spend eight more days there, at their own expense. Ouch! None of us felt poorly and they were the only ones on the group tour in Bulgaria to get it. My husband and I just did a home test before we venture out into the world and we were once again negative. Hope to have a few pictures up by Friday. Though one dude on our group tour thought he was Ansel Adams and took about 1000 photos of us all. We won't get them for about a month.
No food in this house, so groceries are high on the to do list today. I think I can make us eggs for breakfast this morning.
Also need to take an emergency shipment of prescription medication to my office for overnight delivery to our friends stuck in Paris, balance the check book and finish up laundry. 2 of 4 loads done already!
QoTD: I love magazines, and always have gotten them then passed them on to friends. But as I moved towards retirement, I decided they were definitely a luxury I could live with out, so I have been actively cancelling all subscriptions.
Food to be determined by jet lag and success at making it to the market. For sure there will be no butter, potato
es (Amsterdam has the best french fries I have ever tasted in my life!!! Though my son suggested they would actually be Dutch fries at that point) or wine on my grocery list this week. Looking forward to some roasted chicken and carrots if I can make that happen tonight. I also need to cut back on quantities as that has surely been moving upwards. I gained 3 pounds while gone and I'm not freaked out at all. But I want to stop that in it's tracks.
Here's a picture just for Teenie. Sorry, they had no orange guys. I looked everywhere for special European only M&M's for you, but nothing was different then at home except showing the calories in metric and contents in French! But it is a new reminder to me as well. My new M&M's for the coming weeks is Mindfulness and Measuring.
Peace Everybody!

I would have to honest and say I had at least 20 of the Dutch fries. Could not keep my hands out of them and we somehow ordered them 3 different times. It is a bit weird though how they only serve mayo with them! LOL. But I made it work. Truly though, they were calories that were well spent. Tasted amazing and worth every bite!
I thought Amy meant that she hoped you got a picture of the Dutch Fries. 20 is actually admirable restraint.

Fried potatoes are my spirit animal! I know all the mayo haters will gag, but I love fries dipped in garlic mayo!
