Good morning, everybody!

We had a good weekend. Friday was a double gym session, so I was falling asleep by 9:00. Saturday was another rough one with 97 deadlifts and lots of running. I did rally in order to vacuum my car before the tennis ladies rode in it. Marilyn asked me like three times to confirm that my lifting bag was in the garage before we left the house.

We went to Cooper's Hawk before the concert. I had bread and then a few of these yummy Tuna Tostada appetizers. And, of course, when my entree came I pretty much just observed it. Didn't want a to go box sitting in the car for five hours while we were rocking out.

Loverboy played 8 songs and we missed the first 3 because of parking and security lines. But we made it in time for Turn me Loose and Everybody's Working For the Weekend. Despite being the youngest band, these guys looked the oldest. The lead singer is a candidate to join us on the RNY Menu page. Loverboy house band for OH Convention 2024?

REO Speedwagon played second (which surprised me). They are a Chicago band so were excited to be back home. Everybody knows all of the words to all of the songs. Lots of bad singing and awkward dancing from our group. Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who,... Their lead singer looks and moves very well for a 70 year old.

Styx closed it out and Tommy Shaw's hair is still absolutely glorious. They received an induction from the Illinois Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I actually am thinking about trying to get on the Board, but we probably will only be in Illinois a few more years, so it doesn't make sense. But so much fun. Chrissy, of course they closed it our with that Steelers theme song, Renegade.

Yesterday, we vegged. Read, lifted and did our taxes. My oldest made it back safely from Collossolcon. Marilyn said we are over scheduled and do not book another thing. But Blondie August 27th??

QOTD: Sebastian Maniscalco performed at one of our work events and was really funny.

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: Roast Beef

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

Sounds like a fun show! I think Mike Reno of Loverboy has been open about his weight challenges and how hard it makes performing.

Renegade is used at all Pittsburgh Sporting events it's our rally song. I do love it, Your weekend sounds amazing. I do not get to got to a lot of shows because DH can not sit that long with his constant pain. We stopped by the casino Saturday night and there was a headliner show so I popped my head in to see who was playing. It was Robby Krieger of the Doors. It was pretty empty so the door lady let us sit in for 2 tunes. I am hoping to get tickets for Everclear coming up on June 24. My SIL massages some lady that can get us tickets I am just waiting to see if she can get these for us.

Those casinos get a ton of shows. I'm sorry that your shoulder is still sore, hopefully it turns the corner soon.

So, the precursor to Styx actually started in 1961. They were 14 at the time. One of those guys played a few songs Saturday night.

They have been broken up a few times over the years. When the alternative bands came out in the 90's, a lot of 70's and 80's bands were essentially out of business for 10 years.

40 minutes as many rounds as possible:

200 meter run

20 reps 185 Deadlift

200 meter run

20 hanging knee raise to chest

I got through 4 rounds and then up to 17 deadlifts in the fifth round. Then it was sleep time.
