Me and this cat, every year, bad planning!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to Friday!

I have a relatively low key day at work and we'll see things drop off a cliff, in terms of activity, as it gets later on the east coast, a nice thing about being further west :-). I need to cut my grass, a few in the house chores but I've set myself up for a good weekend. I did make it to the nursery yesterday so I have things to plant! I am going to be brave and plant a container rose bush in a color called arctic blue....I restrained myself from giving lavender "one more try" and I swear I heard the lavender plants sigh in relief as I walked away. I do need to run to Home Depot because I need a giant terra cotta pot for the rose and they have big ones one sale.

QOTD - Sue999 asked for a QOTD of what are your fears so let's go with that one -- What are you afraid of?

I am a big believer you have to face your fears and I have made that a practice so I would say I'm not afraid of a lot. 1. Something bad happening to my loved ones; 2. I randomly check that no one has moved into my basement (much less likely now that I workout there once a day....and I had that fear before the movie Parasite which made it worse!). 3) I am wary of dogs. I used to be very afraid of dogs because I"ve been bit 3 times but now I'm just cautious about ones I don't know (or ones I know that are badly trained).

Menu today is

coffee plus half and half X3

PB English muffin

jalapeno sausage

no bun burger

popcorn while I watch Obi-Wan or Stranger Things

Photo today is my nephew and I on Sunday; you'll notice we have the same eyes, but only when we smile, lol. The other is one of my front trees - I noticed walking through the neighborhood that a number of the trees are showing the tips of fall colors...I guess that's what happens when you have full leaf out, a week in the 80s, then drop down to a weekend in the mid 20s with snow! Mine isn't too bad but there are a few that are very dramatic now.

Have a wonderful day and great weekend everyone!

Good mornin Jen and everyone...hoping we all have a good weekend ahead.

Found out yesterday for sure I'll have to go to Lubbock for the nerve conduction test. No one here takes Medicaid that does them. A 30 minute drive makes it feel like my tailbone will rip through my flesh so this should be interesting. Still don't know when it'll happen. I'm frustrated and sad. I've been up since 12:05

My niece Rachel has a talent show this morning we we'll be going. Hard to believe this is her last day of elementary school, so grateful for these kids. They are all smart and in the gifted program. The graduation was super cute yesterday. Need to post that picture, if it turned out, later.

I especially love the bird on bare branches. I used that as a theme in my living room and that pic would look great framed on my wall. Have a great weekend! Sue

So glad she is feeling better. This is not a good time for her to be under the weather with graduation and all.
