I used to buy every kind of cheese we like at all times, then have to throw it away - we just don't eat it fast enough. We keep the staples only now which are parm, feta, blue and sharp cheddar and I still have to toss them.

I have to tell you that I thought I were talking about the folio cheese wraps, the tortilla "substitute". Lol

Hello Menu Folks,

Yesterday I didnt post since I started my day off with hot yoga, then went outside to plant the rest of my flowers that I had bought several weeks ago. I also helped DH finish the trellis I wanted installed since I need to move my raspberry bushes out of the raised garden (they are taking over the garden). I now need to order new planters for the raspberries. So that is next on my list of things to do in the yard. I also mowed. Good calorie burn yesterday!

QOTD: Mexican food is one of my favorites. In my hometown a local restaurant has fluffy tacos. The shell is a cross between a flour and corn shell that is fried until it becomes "fluffy", they also have a unique hot sauce that I have never seen anywhere else. Howe3ver, I do like a variety of taco meats and shells, including the gringo variety.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, cold brew with half n half

L: lettuce salad with grilled chicken, ff french dressing

S: Protein root beer "frosty"

D: 3 oz ham, veggie

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 45 min HIIT-I am hoping since I have meetings and class tonight.

Love the kitty!

QOTD: I don't eat tacos - ever! The spices of most "Mexican" food just don't agree with me. Hoped that might be something that changed after WLS but nope, still can't eat it.

TSS: 15 months (can't believe it).

I've been trying to work through some of my disordered eating issues and my ED counselor has been talking about foods not being good or bad and suggested trying out some new foods and eating situations. Goes along with my Bari dietician who says no food is off limits in her opinion. I'm a chemist and love rules. Give me the rules that never change and I can do it. So this has felt wishy washy for me for the last few weeks. Very stressful and food thoughts back in full force. Someone recommended "Mindful Eating" which I've been reading hoping something will click for me. Yesterday went to a movie and decided to have some popcorn (they have small, complimentary bags on certain days). Watching movie and eating popcorn slow but not particularly mindfully. Suddenly all this info fell into place. The issue isn't the food, it's the decisions about food that I make that are important. Sounds so simple but was a major V8 moment. So I've been stressing as my food amounts have changed (at 15 months, I still expected that half a cup should be enough) and the variety of foods I can tolerate expanded. I was so focused on food like I used to do that the head/heart hunger were overwhelming me. All I need do is plan the food, eat/enjoy the food and then outside of meals, focus on my life. I was even starting to isolate again. But now I get it!

Menu:

B: Coffee with half and half (before) egg omelet, cheese, grapefruit sections

L: Chicken Caesar salad

S: Chicken parmesan (homemade unbreaded), asparagus

Sn: If needed, 1/2 cup milk, 2 TBL peanuts

Exercise: Walking.

Oh that is so good that your more comfortable with when and how you eat. I try to schedule meals and not eat outside them but lately I been doing to much snacking and grazing. I hope I catch your AhHa Moment.

Howdy everyone.

can you believe the news!? Holy crap I'm bawling. I've been through Ulvade a few times. It just breaks my heart.

today did have some good news for us. The sewer line was unstopped and they didn't charge us!

I saw my PCP and he sent a referral for an egd and also is trying to get me in to someone here for the nerve conduction test. We'll see how that goes. Got some lab work done. If my A1c is a certain number he wants to start me on insulin. Yay.

qotd: any taco that's not to spicy as my tongue gets chemical burns on it if it's to spicy. It sucks. I love spicy stuff but it's doesn't love me.

my food is off but not bad.

Mel
