Update: never mind, I see you answered my question above.

I've been seeing this seasoning but hesitating to buy it, because I don't know what I'd put it on. Where do you use it?

At first I put it back - I'm sucha sucker for every new TJ's spice my cabinet is full of them and I rarely use. I will use this for my fish taco sauce, tarter sauce, like tajin on veg - potato salad would be good. Anything really that pickle is good with.

Mornin' All!

I was half planning to go to water aerobics this morning, but I'm not going to make it. I'll do something else, though, as I need to get back into the exercise habit that I appear to have lost after getting back from Italy last week. I did ride my bike for about an hour yesterday, though. May do that again this morning - or go to Zumba.

So I bought my ticket to Scotland yesterday and booked a hotel for the first five days (I'll be there ten days altogether). Good Lord - Edinburgh is expensive. And the B&B culture hasn't really taken hold there like it has in Italy. So different. I'll be staying at a budget hotel, where my third cousin is staying, the first few days. And "budget" is a relative term. It seems to mean anything under $200 a night. Not sure yet what's going on in the latter part of the trip - but I'll book something as soon as I'm able to as things are filling up..

I have to take my mom to an appt with the audiologist today, then DH and I have a hair appt. Meeting up with some women I "met" on Nextdoor for dinner.

QOTD: I only do street tacos now - usually with carnitas, al pastor, or tinga. They come on a soft corn tortilla with cilantro and onion. Places that sell "gringo" tacos have no street cred with me - I much prefer more authentic places. Cheap and good! One of my favorite meals!

B: I might make chaffles and top them with plain skyr and berry compote. If not, then just the skyr and compote. Coffee with half & half.

MS: protein shake

L: I guess Caprese salad - but I need to get more basil first

AS: tied up all afternoon, but I'll take a protein bar with me just in case

D: I'll be out with the Nextdoor people. Will probably order the cucumber spring rolls or the Walleye tempura (they're both on the happy hour menu, so I'm guessing they're smaller portions)

Sheila - it's the Illy coffee that you prefer, correct? I have some decaf Lavazza and love it - but I want to try Illy as well (we can get both at my regular grocery store here). I brought some Kimbo back from Italy and love that, too. They don't have Kimbo in the regular grocery stores here, but I saw it at an Italian market in Milwaukee the other day. We have a small Italian grocer here in Madison - I'll look there as well - they may carry it. I've decided I prefer this to American coffee. So wonderful...

If you get a free time, I highly recommend doing the tour of Mary King's Close, it's fascinating to see how people lived in the day --also the best steak and ale pie I've ever had was at The Abbotsford on Rose street (and we loved Deacon Brodies on the Royal Mile too).

QOTD. Soft shell fish taco. Second would be crunchy ground beef taco with lettuce, cheese and hot salsa. Tacos were not a thing growing up. Favorite meal then was (sea) turtle fried on a buttered bun. It was legal back then and on restaurant menus but probably only served in the Florida keys. It tasted more like wild game and is not fishy.

This morning going to the vet to get dog food. Then to Target for groceries etc. Then a stop at Total Wine to replenish the liquor.

Menu. No clue other than protein shakes. Perhaps a stop at the Butchers counter for some rib eyes! It get to be 90 here with high humidity but we will still put those on the grill.

Total wine is less than a mile from me. It would be cheaper to have it delivered. Husband got sucked into things he otherwise would no get. I saw a 50 year old single malt scotch locked up in the glass display. It was 48k, yep price of my SUV. Could you imagine if you dropped that?
