G'morning all!

Jen, your cat memes crack me up. A friend of mine who was visiting from Italy couldn't believe we have birds of paradise on the streets and in the yards. She took tons of pics of them.

Yay, it's Fri-yay! Beautiful weather for the weekend, mid 70s, sunny and no fog. Can't ask for anything better. No specific plans for the weekend. DH might fly down to San Diego to help DS with some move issues and items needed for the new summer apartment. If he goes he'll go down Sat morning and come back Sat night.

My eye freckle is stable so the Dr graduated me to 9 months visits instead of 6. The goal is to graduate to yearly appts.

QOTD: as mentioned above mid 70s with ocean breeze and no fog is my favorite weather.

I didn't take a picture of the blood moon but somebody in our neighborhood took a great one and posted to our fb group so here it is for your viewing pleasure.

On Wed, during my run in the woods I saw this beauty. My pic is a little bit fuzzy because I didn't wanna get too close and scare her off. He looked at me for a good 20 seconds like "lady, who is chasing you? Why are you running?" Then realized I'm not worth his time and counsel so very majestically left the fire road.

My meals yesterday :

  • Coffee
  • Scrambled eggs & cheese
  • Protein puff, Fage yogurt, fresh strawberries
  • Mex Cauliflower rice & eggs (my version of fried rice)
  • E: 5 miles neighborhood uphill wog

Happy Fri-yay!

The first photo actually looks like a painting. The great thing about outdoor exercise is you never know what can cross your path. That is awesome she stuck around long enough to get a few photos.

That picture of the moon doesnt look real. I love seeing wild life when I am out and about in nature (nothing dangerous of course).

Happy Start to the Weekend

I have dozer days tomorrow. That is where you can buy tickets to drive dozers and other construction equipment. I think it is meant for kids but I thought my family would enjoy this activity so I bought us some tickers. Otherwise, I want to get the rest of my plants in the ground. Sunday is Hamilton and we are celebrating DDs 16th bday. Here actual day is Monday but she has mandatory state testing at school she cant miss. So it will be the musical, dinner at PF Changs (her choice), cake and ice cream. Should be a nice day. I will take her on Wednesday to get her official drivers license. My kids are getting so old.

QOTD: This will be my first skinny summer so I will see what I can tolerate and now like heat wise. However, I do know that I have become a wimp with cold and need to be bundled up. So I guesstimate my temperature range to be 65-85 F. When I started my walk yesterday afternoon it was overcast 58 degrees. I had on a dry-fast long sleeve shirt, pullover sweatshirt, and a zip up sweatshirt. I was initially cold until 3/4 through the walk when I could finally unzip/takeoff the outside sweatshirt.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, cold brew with half n half

L: lettuce salad with grilled chicken, ff french dressing

S: protein "frosty"

D: taco meat, roasted veggies

S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares sf chocolate

E: 60 min hot yoga

Have a great weekend!

Pictures are of my family last weekend at FlyFest 2022 and DD yesterday after her horse riding lesson.

At my thinnest, I was still so cold in summer and wore long sleeves most days so I loved the heat.
