Thursday is here! What is on your JR Friday menu?
hi all
i got a new laptop at work (accidently dropped the old one and the plug to the docking station was messed up) so getting used to all the things im missing like passwords, favorites etc.
lots happening here just juggling and trying to push things through.
I left the house yesterday, had not since Saturday for my mouth surgery, so it was good. For some reason I have now lost one of the keys to the car, obviously in the house somewhere...
QOTD: we have random blizzards once in a blue moon. We have tornados and rainstorms. I woudl say the worst was when we had a tropical storm come through and lost power for a week, that was before the generator was bought... we lost everything in fridge/freezer and i had to take showers at gym.
Food today:
unsure
b: coffee 2x
l: I have chicken strips (grilled)
d: unsure need to figure it out

Mornin' All!
I have a Zoom call scheduled for this afternoon with a third cousin whom I've never met (other than through Facebook & email - we originally connected a few years ago via DNA testing). She lives in London. Our great grandmothers were sisters. I think I may have mentioned at one time that there's a family reunion in Edinburgh in July with a bunch of other people we don't know (more relatives - but more distant ones) - and an optional trip afterward up to northern Scotland to see where our great grandmothers were born and raised. I told her (and the reunion organizer) that if the optional trip is a "go" (i.e., if they get enough interest to do the trip), I'm "in". If not, probably not. So I'm not sure what the purpose of her call is, unless she's thinking of planning our own trip if there's not enough interest among the big group? Not sure. But that would be great. Either way, I'll go to Scotland if it includes heading up to the northern coast for a couple of days. My newest goal in life is to visit all the places where my great grandparents were born (all of them were immigrants).
QOTD: I've never lived anywhere that featured particularly dangerous weather events, although I've lived through blizzards, a couple of horrible rain storms (the kind of result in flooding), mild tornadoes, and hail. We had a horrible rainstorm here a couple of years ago in which a friend of mine's ex-husband was swept away by flood waters (and died), and my husband spent a lot of the night bailing water out of our window wells. Oh...ice storms when we lived in the south. Those were treacherous. But I was only personally affected by one, when I was driving back to WI from NC one year after Christmas. It was so awful that I couldn't even pull off the road to check into a hotel for the duration - people were trying to get off at the exit ramps and were just sliding back down onto the interstate. So I kept plugging away, driving about 10 mph until I was finally out of the storm. So I guess that would be it...
B: plain Greek yogurt with strawberry/rhubarb compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: Caprese salad
AS: protein muffin
D: I'm thinking of making pulled pork today in my Instant Pot - so that and a salad
have a great day, everyone!
My older sister was just in Scotland and loved it. Said it was very beautiful, people were friendly. It would be interesting visiting the places you great grandparents lived. Your Great grandmother was from Scotland, what about the GGfather?

Good morning ~ This week needs to be OVER already! Crazy town at work over here. People are dropping like flies or just staying home due to the outbreak. I wanted so badly to stay home today since I have online training all day but I am the only manager available for my division - including my boss and my password expired and I have to go in to reset my desktop to be able use my remote desktop on my laptop from home. So into the petri dish I go.... The dentist said to come in anyway yesterday - I was shocked. That appt sucked but at least it's over. Ever since I had my braces taken off a year and 1/2 ago, I get uncontrollably shaky, start sweating with my heart racing when the drill hits my teeth. That never used to bother me. I'm not scared as long as I don't feel anything, so why this reaction?
QOTD - I've seen it all except tornadoes - they scare me to death. I think the impending doom of a hurricane is scarier than blizzards (unless you are driving or without power) and earthquakes.
B- coffee, hb eggs
l- taco salad
d - breakfast
s- yogurt
Have a great day!
