What's on your Wednesday menu?
Mornin'!
my sister and BIL left this morning for their new home in Reno. My sister is really anxious about driving her car alone out there (BIL is in the truck). She's always been very nervous about driving on interstates. My husband volunteered to go along so he could drive her car, but he isn't/wasn't able to leave until tomorrow morning because of a work commitment. But BIL insisted they had to leave today. I don't get what difference one day will make, esp if it helps curb my sister's anxiety, but whatever. Hopefully she'll do OK on the L-O-N-G drive out there.
so I lost all of my Italy weight and then some. Down 3 lbs from where I was Sunday - but of course that's probably all water. But that's fine - I'm now a happy camper.
QOTD: I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are some weird combos I like.
B: chaffles topped with plain Greek yogurt and strawberry-rhubarb compote, coffee with half & half
MS: my neighbor said she wanted to come over so I could show her how to use her father's 60-year-old moka pot for making espresso, so probably that with half & half. And a protein shake (she thinks the issue is that her pot is 60 years old. Ah...that's about as basic a technology as you can get, so I'm pretty sure it's NOT the pot..)
L: cottage cheese ?
AS: protein muffin
D: I'm thinking a Caprese salad
have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ~ The coffee gods heard you! Yesterday was a crazy day. I will say that my trainings were far more interesting than I thought so that is good. By the end of the day - my whole department had been advised of a minor covid outbreak (there were at least 6 positive) so we are back to masking for 2 weeks (enforced) and all staff has to rapid test this morning and next week also. While I'm negative right now, there is nothing like feeling you are going into a petri dish of germs. I'm supposed to have a dentist appt today for some fillings. I will call them when they open to see if they even want me there.
QOTD - I can't think of anything too weird... Okay, my mom used to make me raw cauliflower florets with a dip mixture of mayo and ketchup. I have to admit that I absolutely loved it - still do. Now I want some.
Accountability - there were tortilla chips and too much nacho cheese
b- coffee, HB eggs
L-TBD after dentist - yogurt probably.
d -TBD
s - cherry tomatoes and ?
Have a great day!

When me and the kids went to the concert last week most people were unmasked but there were a few die-hard maskers present. I will admit that I rarely think or worry about COVID anymore. I do remember the first patient I had to care for I was a little nervous about exposure but quickly grew comfortable caring for those patients.

I think everyone has relaxed. I know I have as the numbers went down. Plus I don't have health issues, or kids at home or elderly parents. But it's still very much a thing and this was a huge wake up call for me.

I was just asking DH about his office. He said they never relaxed the mask wearing rule and they have been testing twice a week on a regular basis. Santa Clara county was the first with mask rules and his company has been really strict with it, being the first to ask employees to go back in.
