Good Morning Jen and Menuers,

I have to say I did not catch the eclipse last night. I did see the moon prior and it was a lovely pinkish orange. I watched the Pens game last night and had no desire to do anything after but sleep. So sad .

I had a crazy weekend. I asked Ron to put out 3 cream cheese and eggs on Friday so I had them at room temp to make the cheesecake. We were leaving for Food truck Friday and I thought he forget. I took out the eggs and whet to get the cream cheese and there was none. After food truck we frantically ran to Aldi to grab the cream cheese.. When we got home I grabbed the bowl to get started on the cheesecake and Ron had already but them in the bowl. That is why I didn't see any boxes lying on the counter. UGH. Then at the food trucks I ran into my cousin and his daughter wanted the pool open. I said when ever your available we will open it. They said tomorrow morning at 8:00am. So that happened this weekend and it went so well we were actually able to get in and swim yesterday. Never have I ever opened it this early before. But I got a sun kissed glow to me this morning despite the devastating loss of the Pens.

When I was a lot younger, I would get the pool open about the beginning of May and dive into sixty degree water to get something off the bottom. My pool had a solar dome that allowed me to use it easily from May through October. Had we heated it, we could have used it year round. Once it got warm the dome kept it warm and also kept leaves and other objects from blowing into the pool. It was something like this picture, but had screened windows to open on hot days so tha****er was not too hot. We enjoyed it for many years.

That is super cool. We do have a heater and the pool is only 12' x24 sotook less than 24 hours to heat that is why we were able to use it yesterday

Good morning!

Just dialing in the last details and waiting for the car this morning. All flights are currently on time. Super excited and praying I get enough walking in to ward off the land of butter and cream. We have WiFi everywhere, so I'll be popping on here if it's a good fit for our days. We have lots of activities planned.

QoTD: I like over the top adventure movies (think Jack Reacher) but not scary. I almost wet myself reading a scary book last month -- hate to see what would happen if I was watching a true thriller!

Menu -- No idea! Yay for vacay!

Peace Everybody. Keep the world sane for me while I am away. Au revior!

Good Afternoon Menu Friends

i also had a nice weekend. Saturday I managed to maintain my eating pretty well considering it was my free day I didn't overdue the sweets like the previous week. Sunday we went to the SkyFest at the local airbase. We saw lots of cool planes and of course the Thunderbirds perform. Traffic going there was crazy and took sooo long. Today I mowed the lawn, filled holes the dogs had dug in the lawn over the winter (I need to buy some lawn seed, thought I had some), and got half of my flowers planted. It is a trial to plant in my yard since it is so very rocky. I guess that is good for the house foundation but trying when you want to plant. I also managed to put on my bean, cucumber, zucchini, parsley and basil seeds.
