Finally (Photo) Friday! What's on your menu?
People here still talk about the Vanport Flood. You can tell a real Oregonian if you know about it, and also remember the Columbus Day Storm of 1962. I was scared out of my mind for that and I still don't like the wind because of it. We had no power for a week. It's interesting if you want to read about it. Highest winds were at the coast 179 mph. I watched as an almost 100 year old walnut tree fell, dark and scary times.

I've been doing this horrible thing where I can't sleep at night and I watch something and cook.
Last night I made homemade fat free clam chowder and eggplant rolatini w fat free mozzarella ( though I really don't care for the texture when it's not perfectly melted - there was an Italian brand that made a great one for many years in a block and these idiotic grocery stores stopped carrying it despite it being the ultimate deliciousness grrr .
Luckily I barely eat at night just taste a few spoonfuls but still ....
i need to make lowfat meatloaf but I have the refrigerator guy coming to fix the icemaker ( never buy a Bosch appliance) and the dishwasher that was "fixed" ( at great expense) last week . Personally I'll buy IKEA / Whirlpool with their five year guarantee and free repairs and reasonable prices anytime but this appliance package came with the apartment.
Im moving out of my condo till Mid December so I decided to rent it out . Im not having a great time packing my stuff into bags to put in storage and pre- deep cleaning but it has to get done .
Good Morning Jen and Menuers,

I got one more cheesecake to bake and I really hope I can find some me time this weekend. Tonight is Food trucks, Tomorrow the only true plan is Doing my weekly Mom Duty. And Sunday I got church. I plan to get in a bunch of walking and be very conscious of my eating. I went to grab a chocolate yesterday but my mind slapped my hand and said would you rather fit in those jeans or eat that. Yeah I chose jeans. I think I might be back on track and have the correct mind set. I guess we will see.

Good morning! I consistently use the phrase What the French Toast!?! So does that count as food and the f word? I think it does. We hung out with our friends on their deck last night and were able to book a dinner cruise on Siene for this coming Wednesday. And there is fancy lunch at the Eiffel Tower on Tuesday. Now that those are booked, the rest of the days in Paris are about the Louvre and walking around sightseeing. I am also hoping to make it to Versailles. That will fill up our four days in Paris, before we "pop" over to Sofia, Bulgaria to start our organized tour there for 12 days. Can't believe it's here and I am packed to go.
Today is toes and hair cut and color. And then dinner at a bbq place tonight to celebrate a friends birthday and I am looking forward it!
I had too much wine last night. You guys must think I have a cross addiction or something. I promise I don't.
QoTD: Seal Team for sure. I need to be sure Clay is ok. LOL. I loved West Wing and am always looking for something that has that type of high level of stuff going on. Jeff Daniels in The Newsroom was close. I like shows where you have to pay attention to everything or you won't understand part of the story line.
menu today looks like
B: leftover chicken fajita meat and beans
L: I defrosted some homemade beef stew, so that will be lunch today
D: I am craving either brisket or a beef rib. Hope to get one of those and some coleslaw.
Water. Water. Water. I need lots of that today. I plan to be wine free until I am in a plane on my way to Paris.
Peace Everyone!
