Good Morning! Yesterday went pretty well and only slightly awkward for the person that is moving to a new department. I think the new team member is going to do great and be happy.
QOTD: I don't usually just lay out but if I do I have to wear a cover and sunblock for sure.
TSS: 7 years 8 months
B: SF latte, orange, Quaker protein/fiber oatmeal and turkey sausage
L: Turkey stick, cheese stick, carrots, pudding, and a pear
S: Protein puffs, nuts, an apple and yogurt
D: TJs breadless egg sandwich, toast, sliced orange/banana, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Greek yogurt
E: Elliptical and treadmill
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1441 Protein: 109 Carbs:132 Fat:54
Have a great one!
QOTD. I avoid the sun between 11 and 4 pm, the sun is too intense if reflecting off water. Beach wear tankini and board shorts, Always a hat and my Costa sun glasses. Lots of sunscreen, spray on. Squirting lotion out of a bottle onto the skin leaves some interesting tan patterns. A coverup shirt if I am starting to burn. I grew up on the water and have had some burns. No matter how tan you get, you will burn if out too long
Today, a little bit of gardening and waiting for the new grill to be delivered. It seems like forever. My car is being serviced today, it takes forever, so took the shuttle back home. Later when the car is done I will go to the grocery and pharmacy. We have 4 stray cats hanging around our yard now usually as a group. One of them will roll over and let me rub her tummy. She has a clipped ear so she has been spade and released. Obviously she was once a pet. They do look cared for so are being feed by one or more neighbors. I believe they are sleeping on my back porch, yard is fenced, while they can climb it, big dogs and coyotes can't get them.
Menu Protein shake, left over Chinese and something on the grill.
G'morning all!
When you look outside the sun is shining and you'd think it will be a gorgeous day. Well, you'd think wrong because the temps have not passed the high 50s. The wind is also very strong and that makes for a very interesting walk with a 17lb dog that the wind can push around. We also had a mini earthquake yesterday, I thought something fell off in the back yard and hit the house. Luna went crazy barking, and the neighborhood fb feed just went crazy...so yeah it was an earthquake
Have I told you guys I'm going to DC to visit DD this weekend? I'll be there Fri-Mon. I just looked up the weather and it's gonna be warm (warmer than here in CA) but with rain every day. That will make for interesting clothes and shoes choices.
QOTD: one piece bathing suit (50s style), sarong, big dramatic hat. 50 spf sunblock on my face, because my facialist threatened me about 10 years ago that she wouldn't give me treatments if I don't use sun block on my face, and spf 10 or 15 on my body. I do lay in the sun when we go to the beach with a hat on my face.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Scrambled eggs & cheese
- Fage yogurt w/berries, epic chicken, protein puffs
- TJ shrimp stir fry
- E: cardio + weight
Happy taco Tue!

As a European woman, your answer was always going to be the most interesting.

Haha! As a true European I wouldn't have put any sunscreen on. Last time my SIL was here she was very surprised of the amount of sunscreen I was putting on. And actually annoyed at me when I insisted for her to put some on.

Good morning, everybody!
Marilyn is coming back at about 4:00. I just need to pick my son up from school today and we will have more or less survived. She is headed right back on the road Thursday to pick up my older son in Denver.
My older son has his last final tomorrow. Marilyn flies out on Thursday evening and they will drive his truck back to Chicago. Unfortunately, he has trouble separating the stress of school from the physical location so he will want to head back home as soon as possible so that he can unwind. I wish that they would stay a little longer and enjoy Colorado instead of racing back.
I hope that Trish is having fun in Italy. Lounging on the beach in Amalfi sounds pretty good right now.
QOTD: Board shorts, hat, sunglasses, flip flops. In areas with really strong sun, I will wear a short sleeve rash guard, like when we were in Hawaii in March. Lotion on my face and head. Spray sunscreen on the rest of me. The worst sunburns that I have got have not been at the beach.
Breakfast: Protein Bar
Lunch: Chicken
Dinner: we will see what Marilyn wants
Have a great day, all!
