Happy Monday! Let's make this a great week!
I hope everyone had a good weekend; mine was pretty good, very relaxing and disconnected!
This is a busy week for me, both at work and at home -- I somehow have afterwork plans every day starting tonight with dinner with friends and seeing an author (Neil Gaiman) lecture/speaking tour.
I've had a few days of a really stiff/sore neck so I minimized my workouts over the weekend with only doing about 40 minutes of stretching Saturday and only 20 minutes of boxing yesterday but today I need to do PT, plus get in some type of longer cardio in today. I'd like to do a boxing session and the elliptical along with the PT but we'll see; I'll definitely get the PT and a boxing session in.
QOTD - Do you have a food that you try to persuade people to try, even though it sounds odd? Years ago, a restaurant here made "rattlesnake bites" which were jalapeños stuffed with peanut butter. Now if I'm making poppers from scratch, I make them that way but also wrapped in bacon. It's the dish that people look at me strangely but then when they try it, realize it's amazing.
menu today
coffee plus Teenie's creamer X 2
egg and breakfast sausage
yogurt
I've scoped the menu for tonight, I am leaning toward their chicken pot pie (they serve it in small skillet with only a top crust.
Have a terrific monday everyone, we can conquer this week!

Good mornin Jen and thanks for getting us started this week!
I had a very busy weekend. I made my mom grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and the likes yesterday. I am very sore and had a few good cries during the two days. It's so hard to not be able to do things like I want. I had a memory on FB of doing Zumba many years ago and I miss that.
No big plans for the day, just kids after school.
QOTD: hmm nothing that particular but I tried and tried to get the kids to try blue cheese yesterday. They refused of course. I also love nori/roasted sea weed and most folks don't get that one.
B: Oatmeal & coffee

Good morning, everybody!
First off, everybody looked great on Friday - Jen, Sheila, Amy, Amy's sister, Lana, Lana's DD, Lisa's fishing action pictures. I didn't post that on Friday because I couldn't tell whether my phone was cutting off Hilary or whether she just posted a picture of her dog. Now I know.
Mother's Day wishes, I just blew it on Friday. No excuses.
Julia, Mary's helpful article already answered your basis questions, so i took a look at the HARPTA rules (Tax Info Notice 2017-01). This is what I learned:
a. Hawaii follows Federal Section 121, so there is an exclusion if you meet the requirements of that provision. However I do not believe that you would meet the two years out of previous 5 requirement so that is not helpful to you.
b. Hawaii has a similar exemption from withholding if you occupied the property for 1 year and it sold for less than $300,000. If you meet these requirements, you can apply for exemption using Form N-289.
c. You can apply for a waiver from withholding if you have a loss or no gain on the sale using Form N-288B.
d. You can apply for a waiver if there will be insufficient funds available after closing costs and taxes to pay the withholding. That is also done on Form N-288B
Both of the waiver applications need to be completed 10 prior to close. Quickly looking at the internet, I saw one firm charging $375 to do this. Which probably eats up the interest savings from having your money. You still report the sale on your tax return along with any non-refunded withholding.
If you are not eligible for any of the exclusions or waivers but are still overpaid, there is an expedited refund process which uses Form N-288C. Or you can get your refund with your regularly filed tax return next April.
Marilyn made it safely back from Florida with her Dad. She will fly to Chicago tomorrow (and then repeat the entire process on Thursday when she goes out to Denver to pick up my son.
QOTD: I can't think of any particular foods but Bai Waters are something that I am always cheering on to people.
Breakfast: Egg sandwich
Lunch: Roast Beef
Dinner: Chicken
Have a great day, all!

I have not, I try not to take nutrition or health advice from celebrities. I don't need a coffee enema or jade eggs for my lady parts! I do like them for beauty and fashion though!
